i use the fm modifier to make the whole game tougher i make every team financialy strong some more than others get rid of all injuries to players at the start and DO NOT tamper with the ability of any player that way i can enjoy a different challenge with any team i pick

just download the fm modifier, u'll win everything.. i play as liverpool manager, n edit kewell to messi, babel to ronaldo, benayoun to joaquin, barnetta(my new player) to robben, spearing to richards, dawson (new) to mexes, and reina to buffon.. n won by big margin against man utd, chelsea, barca n munich.. but the weird thing is, i can only win by narrow margin against arsenal for the whole 3 season.. but anyway, it's very worth it to get this software.. u can even change ur transfer budget

there are no imperishable tactics..

tactic should be flexible depend on situations.

ex: if u play in narrow stadium u shouldn't play wide. if the weather is bad u better play slow tempo or u player will tired quicker.

the best tactic is 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 the most important thing in football is defend well to attack better so this two sistems are the best the 4-4-2 classic is week in the middle because the wingers dont help in the middle the midfielders so for me having tree midfilders two wingers and one striker is the best ofcorse that in other competitions like champions league is better to play with two strikers but for me the 4-3-3 is the best !

Although this tactics probably works, direct football with lots of crossing is such a dull tactic. Personally I prefer pretty much the exact opposite of this; short, slow passing, with the players playing close together and the ball passed through the middle. Its blatantly stolen from Barca's tactics, but it makes for beautiful football :)

fm08 is an absolout awful game(the match engine anyway) seriously dont bpther with it, ive been a beta tester of FMlive for a year and the ME is actually good, i strongly advise never playing a normal FM agen they are awful, play the live version its actually fun

I play FML too, FM08 is still good though, the match engine from FML is being used and improved in FM09 so buy that :P!

play 4-2-3-1 with one of the mid dropping into the dm position(mentality ultra defensive, short passing,little creativity,normsl tackling and tight marking. Also the wingers arrow their positions to up front on either side of the lone striker.Put them to long shots all the time together with your amc and lone striker. GK set all the settings to the left of the bar, pass to fullback when starting attacks,passing short,aim at targetman,mixed crossing,default in all setpieces.Team mentality play with width and speed attack to the pt of all out attk,always mark, use playmaker(amc),short passing.mixed for targetman. Using this system and provided you have gd wingers and amc and lone striker has long shot stats of 14-15) your team WILL dominate possession and bombard the opposition's goal until their gk cannot take it, so setpiece is imp cos I got 15-20 goals from corners alone and if your striker is a gd one expect him to score shitloads of goals. I use rooney and he got me 50 goals in his 1st season rotating him every game, average ratings 8.75. And most of the other players will get >7.50 gd luck lol

But if the oppositions starts to play 5-3-2 or flood their area with defenders, you can counter by arrowing your amc to the same position as your lone striker bcos that will pull more df towards your amc leaving your lone striker free. btw whats the final score? lool

im at year 2018 and delfouneso is an england number 1 getting the golden boot in the most recent world cup and is playing for arsenal and finished top scorer in the prem. So he might start out rubbish but he can be made good. on 2007 i suggest getting Goran Slavkovski from inter, he played for my newcastle team and got player of the year vote.

How much have you "followed" Agbonlahor in a career? He gets a little better, and there's something in his stats that makes him killer. I don't know if it is "just" the speed that makes him good, but he got lots of goals. At least in my game with Aston Villa he does.

I find the best way to get consistent results in fm2008 is to pack the midfield and hope you score first. If not then change to a 4-4-2 later on if they score or if you need a goal and time is running out.

Team talks are self explanitory really. Delighted for 3+ goal win any under than that but still win, did well.

Losses vice versa. small loss dissapointed big loss anger or something.

Mainly i would focus on your training schedules. There are plenty of guides out there to help you out.

I know u guys might think i might be lying or something but all i did to my formation was put a 4-4-2 diamond attacking and just set the team mentality to attacking. Everything else i left it as it is and i focused on morale,on form players and improvement in training.

And in my first season i managed to win the FA cup,finals of CL and 3rd in the league with arsenal.

2nd season i did the double and i'm currently doing my 3rd.

I think you use dewy hazardous tactic. Play 2-2-2-4 when attacking with set up wide pitch and direct passing style...Its easy for opponent's players to go over you attenuate defense. Free area in the middle of the pitch can cost you the match... I'm sorry but in my opinion is you plays too crazy tactic :) Check out my video. My tactic is pretty good.

I can't reli get the hang of FM08 because i go the likes of chelsea,arsenal, liverpool and the first games i play friendlies against teams from kuwait n stupid countries like that, and get beat all the time which is stupid so i give up very easily i don't really understand the tactics

Well its not going to change if you give up. Play again and think how those teams play, then se up the actics like that,or just leave them as defaul and dont change them much.

Friendlies are usually that way, but when the season starts you should start winning. Just give i a go.

Seems a bit inconclusive. Tactics need to be altered all the time in order to get that winning formula. Keeping an eye on opponent scout reports, playing on-form players and keeping your squad happy is more important than sticking to one set of tactics.

Very good point, which is something that i will keep in mind. However, tactics play a major role in the game, get the right and everything will become easier. I recommend using two diferent ones, so when one tactic begins o fail, then swich o another one. he when that one goes down switch back and so on. This video was only to show my tactic, which works really well.
