I love the idea of getting a pet for your cat. Who gets to pick - you or Abby? Would leaving the TV on keep her company? I had a friend who would always come home from work to find her TV blasting music videos & her cat sitting in front of it. She finally figured out the cat was sleeping on the cable box & somehow always managed to lay on the buttons that tuned MTV - which she never ever watched. Since it disturbed his nap, he would sit & glare at the TV!

I had to adopt a kitten a few years ago when it was just me at my cat. I felt really guilty leaving him home alone for 10+ hours a day at least 5 days a week. Nice to see your face again, I hope you update more.
