hm... "please hold still while i find the switch at the end of my gun"... isn't there supposed to be a real bayonet sticking out of there and the arc going through it? and the switch on the gun grip... stabbed and tased at the same time... that would be pure evil.
i agree with everyone that said they'd rather have a bladed bayonet than that shit, if you want to tazer someone then get a proper stun gun & use that as a non-lethal option of defensive combat - but seriously, if it's at the point of aiming a riffle at somebody your beyond the non-lethal options ... in self-defence the order is avoid, evade, non-lethal attact, incompacitative attack then fully lethal force - a riffle is in the last catagory and that bayonet is non-lethal, match your measures!
near the end you see a box clearly marked "multi-shot shotgun." Thiis mad me think about all the different things you can shoot from a shotgun, ranging from buckshot to solid slugs. The important stuff though, is the non-lethal varients; rubber-pellets and bean-bags, occasionally utilized by police forces.
That's what this is. A non-lethal variant destined for the more heavily armed law enforcing groups. Which explains both it's existence, AND why it doubles as a flashlight(darkbuildings)
its the swiiss army knife of bayonets complete with a flashlight a taser a bottle opener a toothpick a pair of tweezers a cell phone another gun two blades a screwdriver a laser sight a video camera a radio of coarse it can download apps it has wifi can play ds games it can watch movies in 3d and thats about it
The thing is, you have to press it to activate it, and normally, bayonets are longer and much of a advantage. and you dont have to press a knife to activate it. and then soldiers will have to carry an extra pair of battaries :D
whole point of a bayonet is that it's a long knife on the end of a long rifle. a guy with a real bayonet could have 6 inches of cold steel plunged iunto your heart before you get a chance to use this so called modern marvel.
I reckon shoving a few inches of steel through the ribs, and into his lung, would do a better job than a static shock. Scarier to look at as well. Though it's a fine example of technology for technology's sake.
@BertrumPantyshield it would do a better job of killing someone i agree, but i don't think the advantage of this "modern" bayonet is it's capacity to kill someone
@beerndumplings If it's non-lethal what's the point in using some sort of taser? Why not just hit them with a stick if they're close enough to use this. You know? What's it called? Oh right a police baton. The Mark 1 Trungeon has been used for centuries as a non-lethal way of getting a point across (no pun intended).
Like I said fun toy; just a useless design in the real world. That said, I still wouldn't mind a go with it.
@BertrumPantyshield: a valid observation bertrum, but i still think this could be of great use if one isn't intent on killing the guy on receiving end. for instance, an enemy can provide intel and an armed suspect can be taken down without injury if the situation so happens to be one of arm-length proximity. some may even argue that a bayonet through the chest is not as easy to execute as a taser almost anywhere on the body. (running out of space): bayonet to non-critical area<taser 2 ne part
@beerndumplings I still don't see where a police baton couldn't do the non-lethal malarkey. And a bayonet anywhere is going to stop someone, and it's easier to stab someone in the chest than in a limb. Combined with the greater length of the bayonet, and intimidation provided by a crude weapon.
In short: Bayonet scarier, deadlier and more tactical in night time assaults (no buzzing noise or light emitted). Suppose they need to be tested on someone before a conclusion can be made, (Chip not me).
gd idea but i dont see that bein used in combt,it does look very secure especially when it recieves the impact of hittin g someone and whats stopping the battery from dying out coz once the battery has gone then u dont have a bayonet do you,and im assuming it will be waterproof but what if u use that in water then ur just goin to electrocute the enemy, urself and friendly
....so no knife? just a taser? fuck that

nice taser bayonet

I think the primitive knife would make a better Bayonet to a mini-tazer. And that tazer only stuns(?) to a knife that can kill.
