  • 57 ! 96 ! 2012 ! the choice is difficult...and a J & D for 159 €....is also a solution ? when we are "fauchés"

  • ouch ... careful with with that sweater of yours . The metal zipper can easily scratch the finish ... just ask my strat ...

  • @GroovyGuitar02 you're strat an my les paul junior could have a talk bout that. That's why I hate zippers on sweaters.

  • @Kyosho445 yeah ... welcome in the club . If you got ANY idea on a way to remove those "zipper sweatshirts that suck" marks , i'd be happy to know :)

  • @GroovyGuitar02 You're strat got a solid finish right? My Les Paul as like thin "worn" nitro finish so it kinda flakes the or chipps the finish away from the body, I belive that can be fixed with like nail polish or something. In your case if it's just scratchs, have you tried using like a sharpie? I'm not sure if it'll work but I've heard of people who does that with their dings and such.

  • @Kyosho445 yeah solid finish . And it's just scratches ... And ... i'm not certain a sharpie might help with that , but i appreciate the insight :)

  • @GroovyGuitar02 Let's check stewmac . They might have something for our guitars.

  • @GroovyGuitar02 No problem, yeah, sharpie might not be of help after all ^^; Since I don't fix my scratched and stuff since I like it that way, lol.

  • P90's?

  • Great LP special

  • IS A FENDER OR GIBSON?

  • painted fingernails ??

  • I bet the neighbours LOVE you....Howard.

  • no 1:21. what's up with these missing times?

  • @BabyEater9000 This 1 second has been sold on ebay

  • Alright then. Sorry to put such a crappy message up. I apologize. I must have been having a bad day.

  • 0:12 catch that fly

  • How you did the sound and the video ,all the stuff? And what program do you use?

  • @AngusYoungBoyJR

hi, please see my you tube start page for this and other answers

  • que diferencia hay entre (Custom, Standard, Special y Junio)r

  • ooooh listen to that beautiful P90 tone.

  • Sweet smooth tone, beautifully played, cheers

  • Dude, will you let a few of us have some space on the main page? What do you do? Make videos all day long, every day? You sellin' coke or something? How do you have so many guitars, and if you're selling guitars, how do you have time to make all these videos? I don't get it. ..but getting tired of seeing nothing but you popping up when I search for something guitar related. Jeece.

  • @harlesslee dont be hatin yo

  • @harlesslee Have you checked his page?? It would give you an indication in what he does. Don't crucify

the guy, he's just sharing in what he loves doing. As a film maker yourself,(BTW, I dig your clips!!) you should

know better. Love what you do, no worries.

  • @harlesslee All answers on my YouTube Startpage....

  • YOu're seeling this guitar after you get it on stock and test it? If so, doesnt it worry you to be playing on it with a coat with a zipper? It can damage the finish

  • @GregsGuitars I like watching your videos Greg, I've been playing since the 60's and know most styles, except Blue Grass(which we love and can't play), but I gotta' say, you have nice ease about you, you don't compete with the music. Nice videos,I really like watching you tinker around, make more videos.

If you're ever in Ohio, USA, let us know, you gotta place to stay, I'll tell the wife to buy more beer.

  • @GregsGuitars wouldnt it have been easier to just say the camera? ahaha

  • The Les Paul Special. My favorite sounding and looking electric guitar of all time...dispite my username. Great playing!

  • I came across a TV the other day, approximately the same age as this special. The most outstanding thing was how amazing it sounded when not plugged in. It just had the *sound*. I almost wanted to mic it instead of plugging it in!

    The mystery of old guitars!

  • @vibratingstring where can I watch this?

  • when he switched that tone knob up or whatever that switch is for, at the end it sounded so f'n good.

I'd love to have one of those to learn on

  • looks like my gibson nice

  • sorry for the off topic question, but what kind of video camera do you use?

  • damn man....you're on fire!

    love it

    amazing player

  • Great audio quality on the video

  • I've seen a lot of your videos (Probably most of them), and this may be the best-sounding guitar I've heard you play. This is the tone I'm looking for. I think the P90's combined with the lack of a maple top makes it sound even better than say, a '56 gold-top w/ P90's (I think the P90's work better without the maple top - Better mids and smoother highs). That's why I'd love to have an old Special, or maybe a custom-built replica made from 60+ year-old Honduras mahogany. That would be sweet.

  • Crazy p90s!!!

  • I must say the sound of this is pretty great

  • hi gregg, have you tried one of those washburn hb-35? im imagining it would sound good on your rig and your style of playing. Btw, your style is really classy, love it

  • @GregsGuitars Look forward to it. Now I understand how you came to answer so quickly, we're in the same time zone.

    Best, Billy Cross

  • Totally understand the fun part but I did actually listen on a stereo system and the similarity in sound of the instruments is rather close. Anyway, thanks for the quick answer. Owning many guitars of similar make and vintage I was naturally interested in hearing them "clean".

  • Fun guitars and you play quite well, but for the life of me I cannot understand why you take the time to demonstrate a number of unique, vintage instruments and run them through pedals that generalize their sound to the degree that they sound almost exactly the same. You even chose one of Fender's best amps to play through but it's virtually impossible to hear any individual characteristics of either the guitars or the amp, only the effects. Beautiful guitars though. Cheers

  • @Delta1 - A lot of Gregor's guitar's sound similar because GREGOR is playing them. That's called finger-tone. But still, I can hear differences between most of the guitars he demos, especially the old ones, which usually have a fuller sound (due to the aged wood).

  • wo findest du bloß all die Gitarren?! Ich würde mal gerne eine 50er Les Paul spielen!

  • wow.sounds so fat !

  • Sounds really great!!!

  • to me it sounds like a lydian scale in several parts

  • @m1d4s13 so a major. -_-

  • Very nice.

  • What about a Tv junior?

  • Hi Greg, i have the same modell but the rare -73 RI with stud mounted bridge . I used it for mor than +20 years but always found it to be to muddy in the middle position. I did the Peter Green mod to it and suddenly the Guitar came to life. The middle position can now be used for many different things. Try it on some of your TV models. Swap the bridge pickup magnets, it's easy. Regard Freddy

  • hey where can i get this backing track my friend????

  • Killer tones - I'm loving this!!!

  • haha ive gotten more used to that switching pickups on the fly thing

  • Great tone and great touch.....good ear ! .....dont often hear this kind of sensitivety from a young player ! Good Job

  • beautiful sound

  • the style sounds a lot like frampton here

    awesome!!!!

  • oops! please ignore my previous comment.

  • I hope that guitar was a keeper Gregor! It sounds amazing.

  • What scale do you mainly use?

  • how much did u sell it for?

  • how much did that beautiful guitar cost?

  • Could someone help me? I can't decide whether to get a Gibson Flying V, a Les paul Junior or a Les Paul Special. I play hard rock and blues and stuff

  • get the special

  • Special

  • special

  • if its a choice between the 3 , go for the les paul special as its the more versatile guitar.

  • find the one thats the most comforitable and rock on dude!

  • i think the special is a good choice the v is a little too metal

and the jr just dosen't have enough features

  • Very nice! Great tone, great playing

  • i noticed ive been matching this guy everymorning nicely done i just bought the 60dc tv not the custom shop thbo the usa model all in all a nice instrument!

  • Gregor -

Ah! Understood. I would have thought the Headrush could do both functions (delay + record) simultaneously.

Also, do you find the Akai Headrush (in delay mode) to be overly "noisey"? And are you typically using it in an echo effect mode or delay mode?

    Many thanx.

  • Greetings Greg,

I see that you used the Akai Headrush here (presumably for delay or echo) and also the Boss RC-2 for looping, but is there a reason you didn't just use the Headrush for your looper?

In other words, since the Headrush E2 already has a looper, why the need for the RC-2? did the RC-2 somehow prove superior to you than the Headrush?

And again, kudos to you on some very tasty stuff!

  • Greg!

Some truly fantastic guitar playing and tasty tone! I'm a bit curious about your '67 Vibrolux Reverb though. I've not seen an original "blackface" Vibrolux Reverb with brown or tweed tolex? Am I mistaken here? Or has yours been recovered at some point?

    Thanx.

  • Thanks, on this amp the black tolex was removed...

  • greg you have a lot of nice guitars

  • where can i get an okko diablo overdrive?

  • from me... just send me a email

  • Nice microphone stand ;)

Great sound and playing. Full o tasty feeling... Love it.

  • very VERY tasteful, love it!

  • Nice playing and great tone. What are you using there for effects etc. Really nice sounding. Hot P90s

  • Thanks. Okko Diablo Overdrive. plus Delay (Akai Headrush)

  • Could you please try to put your site in English? Or make it bi-lingual?

  • I'm too busy at the moment, but I will try in the future

  • Awesome! Cool.

  • I'm always amazed at how much more tone you get from P90's-than from the supposedly higher output humbuckers-but tone is at least 50% fingers-this is sometimes forgotten

  • men, you sure know how to solo !!

    great tone too

  • Good taste in gear for sure. Good looking color scheme for a LP! gotta love that thick open mad tone of the P90s. Gibsons like this one are exceptional though they stand out of the heap of LPs.

  • I saw Larry C playing a very similar guitar with BB King years ago on the "In Session" t.v. show. He squeezed some nice stuff out of it.

  • Great!!!

  • I saw one of your guitars (an old Zemaitis) on ebay going for $45,000!

  • love your jazz backround.

  • After seeing almost all of your vids, I think this one has the best tone. Keep it up!

  • May have a little to do with the P-90 pickups perhaps? Love it too! BTW, I say the same thing about Gregor's videos...that is until I watch the next one. Such a subtle touch, less is truly more. Amazing!

  • It,s the P-90 ma friend,.

    Bright , open, rattling tone.

So much better than the humbuckers... to my humble opinion

  • I love your videos!

You have such cool gear, but you play well enough to deserve them (unlike a lot of youtube guitarists with cool stuff).

    Keep it up!

  • this les paul is alot better sounding to me than the new ones tbh

  • men love your sound, thinking about getting a gibson like yours

  • My compliments to your guitar and guitar playing.

  • How much is this guitar worth?

  • Wow man your guitar playing is amazing when i watching this video i think about that i must play guitar and learn more and more. I have only cheap imitation of Gibson ES-335 made in chin.... but i be thrifty for the original gibson especially for 1957 Gibson Les Paul Special i love this guitar in transparent mahagony

  • What's the amp/pedals?

  • Okko Diablo Overdrive. Amp is a 67blackface Vibrolux Reverb Delay is a Akai Headrush

  • I am so envious..No Im not maybe a little

does the amp set up help to bring up the guitar tone?

  • How do you get all of these guitars?

  • they are christmas presents from my relatives...

  • Nice

  • Ha no really where do you get all these guitars

  • Ok, the truth is: I try to find rich old woman trough the ads in the newspapers, invite them for dinner, and after 2 days I ask them: "Cherry, can you buy me a guitar,"?

  • yep! rich old lady's! thats the way! hahahahahaha!

  • Would you be willing to sell any?

  • Guitars? Shure!

  • Whats your cheapest one?

  • Are you spelling Shure like that because of the mic company, or have not learned that there is no "sh"? Haha. Fucking great stuff, man. I'd kill for your guitar lineup. Mine's still coming in.

  • Hey Chump, can YOU spell any German word correctly?

  • I'm American, typing in American. You must be on like the German YouTube. It's not so great at translating :(

  • Hi Chump, sorry...

I just ment, that I don't care, if "sure" is written with "sh"... ;-)

I appreciate, that Greg plays like hell without speaking a single word :+)

  • oh.. sit... ahh... shit... next time I will write "sure" - if one thing is for shure! :-)

  • Don't you mean typing in English?

  • when your miking your amps with "Shure" SM57's, it kindoff gets stuck in your head.....

  • beautiful guitar.

my God-uncle has a '63, and it sings just as amazing as this one.

  • absolutely beautiful tone man.....nice playin' too !

  • Very, very tasty. Me likey

  • Sweet mic stand

  • Awesome as always Gregor. You inspire me to be a better player. 5*********

  • great playing just as every other of your videos =D

(Kommt es vor, dass du auch mal in Frankreich (Toulouse) Konzerte machst ? Wär schön sowas mal live zu hören =))

  • vielen Dank! Nein. leider bin ich in der Gegend so gut wie nie...

  • Must be worth a few pennies if you know what I mean!

  • do you use a boss loopstation?

  • yes - but not on this Video, the playpack is coming from the Computer

  • good sound! i like
