I find that Taoism is too indulged in nature and overlooks the technological evolution of our species. Once we surpass existing in nature, it will really have no meaning.
I mentioned Taoism only on account of it's challenge to seek "The Tao" = "The Way of the Cosmos". Once past that, it is all logic and science, including the science of evolution.
But in Taoism's defense, it is the only ancient ism that treats humans as an integral part of nature, not apart from it, much less above it.
I'm agnostic. I'm very sad because of the suffering of good-hearted creatures including people, animals, plants, microorganisms, extraterrestrials and so on. I find that trying to make the world a better place in all kinds of ways will produce more suffering by increasing the birthrate. Note: that the higher the birthrate, the number of creatures suffering goes up. How do you deal with creatures suffering as an atheist?
