  • Grover barlow is my grampa

It's nice to know people still care

  • Great song-funny seeing Groucho doing Lydia the Tattooed Lady while the song plays.

  • DEAN BARLOW & THE CRICKETS (By Steve Walker)

Grover "Dean" Barlow (lead tenor) (born 1935)

Harold Johnson (tenor and guitar) (born 1930)

    Eugene Stapleton (tenor)

    Leon Carter (baritone)

    Rodney Jackson (bass)

Rhythm & blues group harmony abounds with smooth lead tenors. Somehow the very essence of doowop is the contrast between the sweet lead and the more bluesy gospel-informed phrasing and harmonising in the background.

  • brill song from 1962 love it

  • Why this song is being played over a piece of film of Groucho singing Lydia the Tattooed Lady?

  • hey ,i want to hear the other side of this record (BABYDOLL) i like that side!

  • It is? Didn't realize that. Well, I'm definitely keeping a tighter grip on my copy, LOL!

  • Didn't expect to see this. I have a DJ copy of this Lescay record. A very, very fine record it is. Barlow sang lead in the 1950's with the Crickets (a black vocal harmony group from the Bronx)and also with the Bachelors, then the Montereys.

  • That's worth a few English ££££'s my Friend.
