  • soooooo he's talking about marijuana?

  • This song is beautiful, Frank Turner is amazing. :)

  • Frank Turner doesn't just belong on Epitaph, he's their best Artist by far.

  • tom waits was on epitaph for ages. he ain't "punk" that's for sure. just AWESOME.

  • bands like frank turner and the weakerthans round out epitaph's lineup well

  • Anybody know where this was filmed? It looks beautiful.

  • @Kakuoteyalu

Malibu, CA I believe. I helped do props for this video, there's an alternate version that is much, much, cooler that I wish they went with.

  • @pwn3deho Thanks.

  • His lyrics are very punk rock, and he mentions his "punk rock attitude" in lots of his songs, so I always thought it was cool he was on Epitaph. Plus, Million Dead might have fit onto Epitaph.

  • Great Video!!!!

  • total god

  • id rather tbh ask the question what the fuck escape the fate are doing with epitaph. Its a simple explanation. Frank Turner is with Epitaph because he is awesome.

  • @emptybombs amen to that. People like Frank Turner belong on epitaph. People like escape the fate dont. Fucking scene kids ruin everything.

  • I'm a fan. Something about his appearance makes me want a cigarette though... Oh, and I find his eyebrows abnormally aggressive and serious... But I've decided at the very least I like this song.

  • one of the best albums ive ever purchased.

  • going to see him live soon!

  • @killswitchengagefan4 with social d? me tooo (:

  • @chave015 i never knew there were songs with my (isabel, our) name in it. what other songs??

  • not to rain on your insightful introspective questioning of why frank turner is with epitaph, if i may intervene, who gives a shit why he's with them? really? who gives a fuck, hes talented. thats it, end of discussion.

  • jesus, i think anyone born anywhere in the world from 1975 to 1985 can relate to this!!!!!!!!

  • OMG! thats my name!

and usually when i hear a song with my name in it i dont enjoy it but i love this song! (:

  • I like the slower version better. can't find it here. bah!

  • Well folk with an attitude does fit Epitaph, plus he was also a member of Kneejerk and Million Dead, both awesome hardcore bands, hi is quite possibly the best lyricist out there! It's not too different from the Get Up Kids or Division of Laura Lee really.

  • 1st time I heard this...it was ok, but the second time was amazing, just brill and surely a grower

  • Can someone upload the acoustic version?

  • the label doesnt suit the him.but then nickelback are with roadrunner.lol

  • YES! He's on Epitaph

  • any one else seen the epitaph banner? "bring be to the horizon. suicide season. deluxe." fucking lovely that is..

  • @punk98 Bring me the horizon, and its there a screamo band. So they named their album suicide season. And it must be better to be dexule.

  • I just wish he kept up with the folk instead of just turning acoustic.

  • @someonenoticeimdead - what an idiotic statement

  • @maluorno How is that idiotic?

  • @maluorno So do you honestly think acoustic is automatically folk? You're the idiot. Atleast I can tell what makes folk, folk.

  • @someonenoticeimdead - I'm not one that feels the need to label everything, but typically folk music has a political message and was written in the freakin 60s.

  • @maluorno Thats pure shit. Just because Frank Turner's folk songs tend to have a political message you think all folk music does? I'm discussing the sound, you're trying to discuss content and era. And Frank Turner even has plenty of songs that involve no politics. In fact, I can only think of Thatcher Fucked the Kids, to be honest. If anything folk artists focus on social issues and to need to travel and see new things. Which i suppose is a tip off to it's 60's roots

  • I <3 this song!

its true perfection and hes oddly beautiful :)

  • A shockingly uninspired video from one of the best live acts around today. Surely somebody could have come up with something a bit more creative, even if it was done on the cheap?

It's still one my favourite songs on the album though.

  • can't stop listening!!!!!!!!

  • I keep expecting it to turn into metal in the middle. Great song, although slightly out of place with this label.

  • @augustrunsred lmfao! thats wat i was thinking!! but its still good:)

  • @augustrunsred hes actually signed to xtra mile recordings...which was an independant record label, but i think epitaph owns them now

  • Epitaph handles the overseas side of it and xtra mile recordings handles the uk as, apparently, Frank refused to leave extra mile... What a down to earth chap.

  • @augustrunsred This used to be a punk label.

  • @augustrunsred not to rain on your insightful introspective questioning of why frank turner is with epitaph, if i may intervene, who gives a shit why he's with them? really? who gives a fuck, hes talented. thats it, end of discussion.

  • @pzell29 Dude, it was just my opinion. It didn't matter to me what label he's signed with 3 MONTHS ago, nor does it matter to me now. I was just simply stating the fact that although Frank is a talented musician, a vast majority of Epitaph's signees are harder than him. Who he's signed with doesn't detract from his musical substance. If I may intervene, may I suggest you kindly unknot your panties from the bunch they have formed themselves into and chill the fuck out. End of discussion.

  • @augustrunsred hey, im just fucking with you really.......but very good pushback!! i can appreiciate a good "fuck off, sincerely!" so good job. i was just messin with ya. have a good one!

  • @pzell29 Haha, it's all good. We can all appreciate the good music.

  • @augustrunsred I just keep expecting a beautiful guitar solo in the middle somwhere. Haha. xD

  • @augustrunsred epitaph was a punk label at first, not metal... Frank turner's music is way closer to epitaph's origins (bad religion) than escape the fate...

  • @psych0p4t3 In my mind, I've always thought Epitaph to be a post-hardcore/rock label, though I can appreciate diversity (Enter Shikari on Hopeless). I honestly don't think origins of record labels are factors, I mean, look at Warped Tour. What started out as a punk music festival turned into a generic-core festival infested with scene kids. Target audiences evolve with the label.

As for Escape the Fate...they're garbage and don't belong on any label, imo haha.

  • @augustrunsred agreed only thing good about them is the opening solo in this war is ours

  • good

  • Love him really hes beautiful leave him alone

  • shame on u epitath we want etf we want etf we want etf!

  • Speak for yourself :p

  • Frank turner is a bell. lol

  • Alkaline Trio and Frank Turner...finally Epitaph is putting out great music. Thanx...Btw this is the best song of Poetry of the deed in my opinion! Great album though.

  • who is isabel by the way

  • @MusicMadness86 maybe a little biography called the lyrics?

  • I like this song xDD but it doesnt go with this label ._.

  • Cause it's the shit, and that's what Epitaph is all about. XD

Nah, I think they just want more money.

  • This is really awesome, but really, what's it doing with Epitaph?

  • @eljklol See Million Dead

  • @eljklol - f*ck labels

  • Kool

  • :/...

    Epitaph..like..REALLY?!? o.O

  • @XxSLauGhTeRKiTtEn - what. u buy music based on what label they're on?

  • @maluorno i do not think you quite understood me..i was simply criticizing Epitaph for whom they SIGNED...nothing having to do with the label..next time you wanna troll everyone; COMPREHEND THE COMMENTS!

  • @XxSLauGhTeRKiTtEn - Frank Turner is awesome. There is no need to criticize Epitaph for signing him. See him live and you will know what i mean. I comprehend fully the ignorance of your comment.

  • Amazing song.

  • doenst sound like the other stuff on epitaph

  • @Tahmidh20 Aye. It's a million times better.

  • @Tahmidh20 - frank has more angst and emotion in his songs with an acoustic guitar than 90% of the 'hardcore' shit out there these days

  • He is the best !!!

He has a bunch of beatiful songs in his pocket!!

  • Dude, this is freaking epic, you rock turner!! keep it up, can't wait for more!

Make a video for "The ballad of me and my friends", I'd love to see that, good luck out there!
