  • if he still alive,he must be the famous composer in the world~~~i like most of his works.

  • @carol02086 Read the video description.

  • As a fifteen-year-old, I can say with certainty that this is one of my favorite musical pieces of all time. :)

  • I first heard this song on good ol looney tunes :)

  • MARAVILLOZOO

  • @pendejoinocente ajajajajaj esperaba encontrar un chileno acá xD

  • The quality is really not so good, all your other videos are top notch sound so far, and this one is very not so nice quality.

    great song though.

  • i'm crazy about this song !!!!!!!

  • Why don't I hear the xylophone in this version ?

It seems to be replaced by piano... Are my ears fooling me ?

  • Flamingos!!

  • Gosh this makes me wanna join a chamber ensemble :D

  • This reminds of a piece from Swan Lake for some reason..

  • NOKIA 3510i RINGTONE!!!

  • Very beautiful, I'm glad there still are old classical pieces that haven't been over used in mainstream media (i.e. George Lucas using Wagner)

When a song is untainted it can really stand out.

  • thats was great song can you send me one callonnec@myhome(.)no

  • phénomène de la musique parlée qui nous enchante grands et petits; tous nous sommes enchantés par ses mélodies si changeantes et drôles quel talent cet homme si actuel et que l'on écoute très peu sur les ondes ou radios spécialisées.

Ouf nous avons You Tube !

  • This recording is probably the fastest I have ever heard! The pianists are amazing!

  • This sounds like Leonard Bernstein... intersting...

  • weirder than i thoght?/>

  • this is so beautiful and nostalgic...

  • my orchestra is playing this piece its hard to master but i have alot of fun playing it!:)

  • Hope your orchestra will enjoy and remember this masterpiece! I wish you the best Master!

  • creepy and beautiful miniature

  • props to the people who knew what this was before Disney threw it completely out of context. lol

"Carnival of the Animals" is the same piece that has the eerie 'Aquarium' movement (one of the eeriest pieces of music ever created) and the famous 'Swan'...

Saint-Saens is the guy who wrote the "Organ" Symphony - most people would recognize the theme as the theme from the movie 'Babe'. He also wrote 'Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso', one of the most beautiful pieces for violin and orchestra...

  • Oh! And "Danse Macabre!"

Unfortunately, most people are introduced to Saint-Saens at an age when they don't even know what music is, and then they forget what they really owe him.

  • @jeffamarie

Haha, funny you should say that. I'm 17 and absolutely loving this guy.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed your upload. I watched anl listened to the three and I especially enjoyed the notes. They added depth to my listening experience.

  • Wow, I didn't know Saints-Saens wrote this? He doesn't get the credit he deserves.

  • I'd enjoy this peice on it's own a lot more if Disney hadn't embedded flamingos with yo-yos in my head to this...*sigh*

  • Have you heard the NPR piece where they read Ogden Nash's poems between each movement?

  • i here this a lot in old movies or i think i do

isnt this a rather popular piece?

  • Anyone else think this is recorded terribly -?

  • percussions

    piccolo flute

    clarinette

    violins

    violas

    cellos

    bass

    and 2 pianos

  • can someone plz name all of the instruments on this peice. Thanks

  • Read the notes

  • its a shame that most people don't know who saens is.

  • the people that need to know do know luckely ^^

  • this rocks

  • Thank you for this evergreen posting- a continuous delight. And your notes are excellent. An irresistible piece of music and the way Saint-Saens bring back the various animals "for a bow" in his musical quotations is perfection!
