this takes me back to my freshmen yr in high school, damn , that year was a new beginning into the next level of me growing up...good times and the memories..NICE.....R.I.P...M.M
Love this track but I'm curious: what was Malcolm Mclaren's actual role in it? Was he responsible for any of the music or was he just the manager/promoter?
@captainzub)"The Supreme Team" and "Trevor Horn" are the guys who gave Buffalo gals its funk & soul but not given the credit that they deserve the Supreme Team also did all of the cutting & scratching on Duck rock (Buffalo Gals) and "Dya Like scratching" Malcolm performed vocals on the first part of Buffalo gals but everything you hear after that is The Supreme Team. @HOODYWOODRECORDS The supreme team sticks out in my mind the most and mclarren was the background dude, people just givin malcolm props he just passed away and all.

yea bro, these peep's here just dont know about the cruising ALL NIGHT LONG on king and story!! party's in the parking lots, and yea the house parties too... car loads of girls every where... king nad story bro!! good times!!!
OMG I had no idea this is where Mariah Carey sampled ''Honey''!!!!!!!!!!! lol I actually thought she sampled this from the Mexican rap duo, A Lighter Shade Of Brown!!!!! lol I felt so stupid all of these years because I thought A Lighter Shade of Brown originated the production
If producers and beat makers TRIED they could come up with ORIGINAL beats like these as well instead of constantly sampling (though Malcom himself samples as well). But I guess if youre gonna sample, might as well sample the cream of the crop.
To rpj1: You are correct in Just-Ice's influence on a certain style of rap. But he was no different than a few other rappers from the Bronx with the same "grimy" style - that's because he was a low-life thief. But the West Coast "championed" that foolishness dubbed "gangsta-rap" and took the rap game in a totally different direction.
Funky beat...This is when rap was pure and innocent. Once rap became commercialized and spread to the West Coast and Down South...it became "gangsta-rized" and stupid.
Greetings loved one ...i must correct your error....It was JUST ICE...that started gangster hip hop..i used 2 slam the west coast and south for there music....til i meet most of them and hear their stories...those cats were in those lifestyles...be well bw great
Thanks for posting this we use to break dance to this our crew name was The Body Macanics man we use to have some good times in those days music was real back then not like this shit today, you have a few rap artist i like but for the most part none of it has substance
Thumbs up Bitchez If you like this one !
