  • Nice! The PMDG is a great aircraft.

  • Dont let Juan G. from the ramp at SMF touch your bags, he will steal anything even your dirty underwear.

  • i think this video deserves 4.5 stars

  • How did you get it to say "southwest"

  • Wrong airport buddy its KSMF not KSAC, you flew to the excecutive airport not the international airport

  • lol

  • ah u beat me to it, i was about to say that ;)

  • awesome video, but how did you get the voice to say "minimums" when landing?

  • How do you get the voice thing to say "minimums" when landing?

  • COOL FLIGHT

  • where have you downloaded this plane

  • try my sound pack for PMDG, search for "Patrick Cramer" on avsim...the version 1.2 is coming up. ;)

  • why does the title of this video say 421 if the guy on the atc is saying 241

  • Oh and I'm a Newb so I don't get it because at oen point you didn't have any more FMC waypoints, I don't get ti because usually I have all my waypoints in. Is that right? Or how do you guys descend withpout the FMC(because you there was no waypoints in the FMC on the descent). Sorry I'm a newb that needs help, thanks guys!

  • Great video! Why don't you use LNAV? I don't get it. How do you guys descend and climb because I heard Southwest doesn't use LVL Change or VNAV! How do you do it?

  • I can't speak for Southwest, but I am very familiar with the CRJ, which doesn't have VNAV or LVL Change either. Usually when you climb out you follow the profile of 250 Knots, with the plane in speed mode, and then increase to 290 above 10000. On descent, usually the VS bug is used to control descent rate. I would think the 737 would be set in in a similar way.

  • The 737's A/P is set to control the speed to 250 KTS once the wheels are off the ground. Above 10000, the flight's on full A/P until the Top of Descent, where the A/P's set only to control the speed until 10000. From 10000 all the way to touchdown is hand-flown, including the throttles for situations requiring TOGA power.

  • WO! racing down the taxi way! lmao good vidio though.

  • you taxi to fast

  • the airport looks hella accurate

  • where did u get this addon????????

  • no V-speeds selected...?

    wow...

  • Slower approach and use spoilers when landing especially that fast

  • The FMC Looks So Real!!

  • i was there today!

  • it looks like overspeed on landing

  • They have the 747 PMDG and the cessna and stuff and I think they are coming out with the 737 in a bit. Nice video that was great!

  • Is that PMDG?

  • yes

  • and also, how did you get the autothrottle to engage? on mine, the A/T PWRST light just comes on and it does not engage...what do you do to make it engage?

  • Make sure you flip the autothrottles arming switch to on. Then set the speed and engage the autopilot.

  • so set A/T before you turn on A/P?

  • Yes, flip that switch (Should be to the left of the speed select) then activate A/P.

  • hey you would enjoy VATSIM...do you know what it is?

  • nice flare. wat kind of computer do u hav. whatever it is it is one helluva box and bettter than wat i hav

  • shortly after that video was taken my computer went downhill. the graphics arent nearly as good anymore. Here are my current PC specs, some are different then when the video was taken:

    3.0 GHZ Processor

    3.5 Gigs of RAM *(changed)

    256 MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO

  • How do you get the plane? How does the seatbelt sigh sound like that?

  • precisionmanuals dot com

  • Does PMDG make aircraft for the FSX yet?

  • I don't think so

  • Dude, In the begining when it shows Sacramentos airport code name, you put "KSAC". Thats wrong. Sacramento's airport code name is "KSMF". Overall, Very good vid man!

  • lol yah. my simulator, my plans, though.

  • KSAC & KSMF are both valid codes for Sacramento as they're both commercial airports.

  • agressuve taxier, lol im leaving on a southwest flight tomarrow

  • My dads a Lutenit Captain in Southwest.

  • My dad works for Southwest airlines he a Lutenit Captain.

  • Cool, I just took that flight and back this weekend, except they had to land from the west coming back cuz of the wind.

  • My dads a Lutenit Captain in Southwest airlines.

  • no winglets?

  • What 737 is this?

  • PMDG

  • -300, -500, or -700?

  • PMDG only makes the -600s and up so im assuming it is a 737-700

  • haha nice video, what's your video card? And btw, land all jets at 150 knots, it really works...

  • I have the ATI Radeon X1300 Pro (256 Megs).

No you do not land all jets at 150 knots, there is a reason why they have type ratings for each one. :)

  • OH LOL thanks :D So what speed would you land the boeing?

  • That depends on wind (headwind or tailwind?), gusts, and flap settings.

Target speeds are usually something like 40REF, 30REF, 20REF and so on for different flap settings.

    The FMC can calculate this.

Have fun with the heavies :)

  • Shaky Landing, cool video though!!!

  • Yah, landing wasn't exactly perfect lol.

I didn't have the speed demon set up for the approach soon enough so i ended up landing a bit fast. :/

  • whats that thing when the guy tells u teh altitute when ur landing? i think it satrted wtih 500 tehn all the way to 10. cuz when i land in fsx mine doesnt say that. is it an addon whihc i have to download?

  • yes
