  • i have had the same problem with .22 pistols ive never like the styling of them to much been looking for something that closer resembles the style of the bigger calibers and this is a nice one i like it a lot i have held them and shot one a little they are nice my mom likes the feel of the walthers looking for a ccw handgun and .380 is not a bad one i would like to have one in a 9mm that nice

  • Did you ever make a follow up video to this? I cant find it. I'm trying to decide between a P22 and the PK380 for my wife. She's new to shooting and fell in love with the way the P22 felt in her hand. Does it feel the same or no? It will be a CC gun for her so I'm trying to find out if the P22 is just the better way to go for a first time gun for her. Thanks for the video.

  • @sacrifice4liberty my advice, she should go with the PK380 for a CC gun. Two reasons: .380 being a centerfire round will be more reliable than a rimfire .22 in a defensive situation; secondly the PK380 has very little recoil. (not that the P22 does by any means!) My choice would be the PK380, bigger round, more reliable cartridge, and little recoil. Good Luck!

  • Good choice . Good video :)

  • I'll let u shoot me any day

  • jewish women rule! nice gun, nice girl - everythin a man can acchief ;-)

  • So you need the key to break it down?Side note I have a p99-40 sw and love it

  • I bought mine in January and so far have put about 2000 rounds through it. I love it, it's amazing. I've found that Winchester ammo has issues, Federal and Remington do real well. I've tested both 90 and 95 grain. I can count on one hand the mis-feeds with Federal and Remington combined. For some reason, Winchester has at least 1 per magazine on average. Wonder, are you finding similar results or is yours loving some other brand or do you use reload? I've not tested reload.

  • Good review and very helpful. As a first time gun buyer and a female, I wanted a gun that was effective, yet didn't want the recoil to break my wrist off, so I went with the 380 and I really like it. Reliable gun, haven't had a problem with it yet.

  • @pancakehead911 Glad to help, I have always had good luck with Walther, and never had an issue. They make a solid firearm. One of the best things about the PK380 is that it has all the comfort of a full size pistol, but still carries like a conceal carry. You are able to target shoot and hardly get tired or have the recoil kill your hand after a few shots. I am glad you are enjoying yours, keep in touch!

  • @11Bravoshitbag I like it because you can use it for a CCW, but it actually feels like a gun, not a toy, like the Kel-Tec and Ruger's LCP. I am not saying they are bad in any way at all, I really like Ruger and Kel-Tec, but this one I can take to the range and target shoot with and never get tired, whereas the LCP, my hand will start to ache.

  • I just bought one for my CCW . Waiting on it from buds so it shouldn't be long knowing them. I was just curious, I noticed this was posted about 2 years ago. How do you feel about gun now that you've had had for some time and put some rounds through her?

  • @LapsedSanity I still LOVE mine. I have put about 300 rounds?? I think? through it so far (being a first edition, I want to keep it looking nice as possible...didn't think that one through when I got it) but it's amazing. Still no problems. My fiance got one of his own as well so we shoot his more. Even with a different (average/not first edition) there are still no problems with his either. It's all around wonderful. Glad to hear you are getting one.

  • I enjoyed this review...I have the stainless version and I LOVE IT!!! Nice to see a female reviewing it. Great gun...for boys and girls alike. hahaha

  • @chevychick228 LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKE IT!! I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE A FEMALE REVIEW!

  • you are married...aren't you?

  • @Fuckinletmeinyoushit Yes, and very happily married

  • @11Bravoshitbag I definitely recommend it! They are so neat and for a .380...not knocking the new smaller conceal .380's out there (most of them are just as good, if not better..in regards to concealing) but the PK380 FEELS like a gun...not a toy..well it does a little, but in comparison, I would much rather target shoot and carry with this gun rather than with a smaller .380 that will be a bit snappy; more purpose than fun. Who wants that ALL the time?

  • Thanks for the ammo advice. We are finally getting a steady supply at our local walmart. The price has gone up though. It was $31 and now is $35 for 100 rounds...not a huge jump, but still....I was aware of cheaper than dirt, I think I would do better to get 1000 rounds and have one hell of a day at the range!

  • BTW if you need .380 ammo I personally have a ton but if you have a cheaper than dirt! store around you go there! They have tons and tons of it for cheap as all hell. I live in the dallas,TX area and there are two of them. If worst comes to worst, go to the cheaperthandirt (*.com) website and order it there! Hope you have a great day and if you guys are ever in dallas let's go shoot! :D

  • Very nice, I actually ran across this when buying my desert eagle .50AE at a cheaperthandirt store here in dallas and it came with a armalaser (slim) and i had to grab it! I carry it at times in stead of my larger Sig P250 (.40/.357sig). Love the video review! Keep 'em comin! :D

  • The only thing I would have against a 380 would be... they don't have a whole heck of a lot of stopping power. If you are going to carry, DEFINITELY use hollow points. You can get a 9mm with a compensated barrel that will have better stopping power against an attacker, and won't kick any worse than your 380. Might even kick less since they are already neck and neck when it comes to the recoil.

  • @justinsn95 the only real reply to the "less stopping power" discussion is, yes it's not as powerful as a 9mm or a .45 cal. HOWEVER, I personally wouldn't want to be shot at by any caliber. I am sure a .22 wouldn't feel too good in a leg or torso, it may not stop an attacker, but it will give you enough time to get away. that's all that matters in a situation like that.

  • @Willyspeanut Here in Texas, you really need to kill whoever is attacking you. If they're the attacker and you're justified in drawing on them, then you're justified in firing your weapon on them. If they're not alive to tell the tale, then they're not around to give you any legal trouble. Which can and does happen. I don't want to have to defend why I shot someone 13 times.

  • I just put a nickel finished one on layaway :) can't wait

  • @halogod1170 just wait til you shoot it!!! you will fall in love!

  • i will have this girl as wife xD awesome (:

  • Nice weapon! I like girls with guns good choice the walther p380. greetings from lex ( Holland )

  • lol

  • man screw germany with its shabby gun laws, america all way long!

  • @fluffyman15 Smith & Wesson have a contract with Walther...so.......technically......yea....

  • @Willyspeanut

sorry but I dont get want you want to say...what has a contract to do with gun laws? I think im understanding something wrong lol

  • @fluffyman15 No...no, Smith and Wesson and Walther are joined. I didn't think I talked about gun laws...

  • That's awesome and adorable

  • Comment removed

  • omg your freakin sexy. wish my girl liked guns

  • i really like the styling of walther, i always wanted a p99 but i think i gonna go with a glock 17. How do u like walther and are they pretty reliable?

  • @ultrabeastmode my Pk380 has never had an issue, I also have a P22 and never a problem there either. However, the newer models of the P22 are a little picky with ammo. They tend to prefer CCI Mini Mags over other cheaper ammo. Mine isn't like that, I pretty much shot what .22 I could get my hands on, and so far (other than the usual bad primers in the ammo) not an issue. My PK380 is flawless.

  • @ultrabeastmode I love Walther. The two guns I have (PK380 and P22) are just flawless. The P22 has been shot quite a bit and I didn't start by shooting CCI mini mags, I used the crappy stuff. With the exception of .22 being a bad-primer ammo, the gun functions great. The PK380, I have nothing but good things to say about it.

  • @Willyspeanut thank you i was wondering about the p22 as well, I think im going to get one for my sister shes been wanting a 22lr pistol, but she does not care for most of the styling of the 22lrs. The only one she likes is p22 and ive always gotten mixed reviews about the p22. What ive come to think about it is how well the owner takes care of it.

  • @ultrabeastmode I am glad you are thinking about the P22, and so is she. Word to the wise, if you purchase one, try to find an older model. I have had mine for close to five years now, and my fiance has a newer version (I think mine is an A model, his is a B model....maybe that's just with the magazines....not completely sure) but I started target shooting mine with all the bad ammo I could find...the cheap $2 .22lr, and literally shot all the "dirty" ammo I could. Never had a problem...

  • Respond to this video... @ultrabeastmode (con't) the only issue I had WAS the ammo. My fiance's P22 had a little trouble with the cheaper ammo...well, anything that wasn't CCI MiniMags...so I don't know if it's a flawed design or what, but try to find a used one that has been broken in a little. It will give you less hassle.

  • This is sad to say but this is one of the few gun reviews that I've seen on Youtube that was actually done by a woman; it's a shame that most YT videos involving women & guns usually have something like "how not to shoot a gun" in the title...

Nice & detailed review with some unique information; I had wondered about it's similarities with the P22. While it's not next on my "to buy" list, it seems like a nice soft shooter for newcomers who may find guns like the P3AT uncomfortable to shoot

  • @IIMoses740II thank you for the compliment, I wish more women were involved with firearms...SAFELY. The walther is an actual copy of the P22, it's only a small bit larger. It fits my hand very well and never an issue with the magazines, slide, jams...nothing.

  • the 5 dislikes are from guys who doesn't like guns or girls

  • @sephy07 hahah, seems that way!

  • @sephy07

how many "guys" are in the Village People?

  • 2 cute

  • Marry me!

  • Your purrrrrdy.

  • Ugh. Stalking women on Youtube. Fucking creepy!!!

  • Oke ! nowdays you need to be easy on a girl because you can get a bullet from them.. WOOOOCH

  • nice to see a lady that likes guns too.

  • Great weapon! Great vid

  • nice girl, nice weapon ;-)

    Greetings from Germany

  • Nice nail color...

  • would lmao if you had an accidental discharge and shot yourself with cor bon ammo

  • ok is walther owned by s&w

  • @lowlifewood technically yes...

  • @Willyspeanut

No, S&W imports for Walther, Germany.

  • @lowlifewood : Walther is in Germany, S&W handles U.S. sales & warranty.

  • @lowlifewood

S&W is the official distributor of Walther Firearms.

  • 1:33, it´s like old school germany! YEAH!

  • Nice

  • Nice! Both, you and the Walter ;-)

  • Nice vid. Have fun shooting.

  • u go willy american soap is a idiot and grant the day i buy a gun i shoot it lol but doing a lil preview review after fully inspecting the gun "which you should do before you shoot it" isnt a bad thing. im trying to up the amount of vids i got to and especailly if it just came out power to u

  • @NILLA000ARMS Thank you!

  • Nice weapon, hope it serves you well!

  • looks big in your hands.. is that for concealed carry?

  • @bogartd2nd It can be used for conceal, however it is not as small as a KelTec P3AT...then again, that is a completely separate classification as well. It's compact enough to carry, but large enough to grasp in case of an emergency. It feels amazing when you hold it and especially when firing!

  • @Willyspeanut copy on that.. by the way, is it comparable to the walther PPK? thanks

  • @bogartd2nd I'm not sure, I have never shot a PPK, but from what I hear it is. Same goes for the Bersa Thunder in .380.

  • @bogartd2nd ppk is completely steel with plastic grips....i have seen amazing accuracy from the ppk, the pk380 is also very accurate...but i will let you know how it groups off a bench...but i think the ppk will win that argument....the thing with the pk380 is that it will naturally be more reliable because of the locked breech action vs the blow back operation of the ppk...but take your pick...ill try to bench rest it, but the ppk has had 1.5 inch groups at 25 yards...

  • LOL You are giving a review on a gun you have never shot? Typical woman.

Go pull the trigger a few times and spend some led then come back and talk.

  • @AmericanSoapBox I did shoot it, and if you would watch my channel you can see the video. Before you make sexist comments, do your research.

  • great review

  • LOLz, my favorite gun!

  • Pretty Girls and Guns, My Favorite Subject!

  • that walther looks a bit big in your hands, how has your experience been in concealing it? im 5' 5" and weigh 180, and am looking for something that can "appear out of nowhere" when need be.

  • God i love girls with Guns and truly the walther PK380 xP

  • i love you

  • Invest in a better camera! Your Audio SUCKS!

  • God she's hot!! I wanna see how she handles my love gun!!

  • cute girl... nice gun. i almost bought one of those but instead i went with the taurus 709 slim 9mm to carry as my pocket pistol. cant wait to see the new videos i will be sure to subscribe so i dont miss it.

  • Hey P-nutty I bought a PK380 a few days ago, but everyone I saw had a scratched up barrel. If Glock is the Benz and Walther is the BMW why the miss care for what seems to be a awesome gun?

  • good review, well done! :)

check my m/27 finnish mosin video :D

  • Great to see a young lady who is interested in firearms and enjoys them! Thanks for taking the time on this "mini" review.

  • how is she giving a review on a guns she's "never shot"

  • By giving a basic overview, the shooting video will come later once the range is done being remodeled.

  • hey stpxxxgayfan wats your problem with this young lady she could have all the review she want as long as she have the firearm to back it up......

  • thank you :) I am going to the range tomorrow, will have a SHOOTING VIDEO UP SOON.

  • @stpxxxfan1 its not like she said its the best gun she ever shot you douche

she simply REVIEWED the firearm and compared it. (those who watched already know this) you should simply blow a cat.

  • hit the chick get the gun.

  • @MrBlackcolt To bad she dosent lke fat guys with small dicks other wise ud be in luck dude.

  • I liked this review very miuch! It's not because the review is a lovely lady, though that is quite true! *S* No, I liked this review because it has been few and far between that females have truly ventured into this arena. I'm glad to see that Willypeanut has taken this to heart and gotten out there. *S* I look forward to hearing her upcoming review after she gets the PK380 out there and throws some copper downrange. Bravo!

  • I tried it again, no luck i tried to pull down on the takedown release as hard as possible. it wont budge. Found some 380 on sale today at least 24.99 for 50 rnds

  • R U useing the key it comes with to take it down

  • Yes and i turn it to the right degrees and no matter what the takedown lever wont release

  • take it back to the gun shop and see if they can help at all if nothing else they can send it back to walther to fix he prob sorry for the bad luck its stil a cool gun.

  • I got one for x-mas, same problem, its going back to Walthers when they get back from the Holidays, Jan 4th. Love the gun I hope its a simple fix

  • Walthers is taking mine back, spent about 15 minutes on hold today before I spoke to someone, he was very apologetic for the problem and is sending me a mailer within a couple of days

  • I found out how to take mine down, try this turn the key to safe on the other side of the gun and then try to use the key to take it down, it worked for me.

  • I went out and shot it again, I hit the bullseye 3 times at 10 yards, accuracy is exceptional, I cant seem to ttake the gun down though, when I turn the key i cant make the takedown lever release??

  • It takes some time and a little effort to take it down. Especially since it is new it may need a little extra pressure. The key is nessesary though, it took me a little longer when I took it down because I wasn't used to it. Keep at it. I know all about it, I cleaned mine the day I got it. Good Luck!

  • Also, it needs to be noted: The take down MUST be done EXACTLY as stated in the instruction. If not, there is something that CAN lock up on the PK380. I read about this issue sometime back on one of the forums I subscribe to. If I can locate the exact thread with this information, I will post it here.

  • woman and guns= hot, woman with guns= scary, I can't go and harass a woman if I think shes got heat. Whats the world coming too.

  • too bad 380 cost more than 9mm

  • wow, marry me?

  • thank you for the flattery, but I would prefer to keep my comments constuctive.

  • I shot the pk380 today, the trigger is fantastic! the pull is light as a feather! Recoil is very minimal. I love this thing

  • BITCHIN!!!! I might be out tomorrow to finally shoot mine! Congrats and thanks for the feedback!

  • I would have waited. First edition guns are always a gamble. Rather wait & see if they have any design flaws and give Walther a chance to work hem out. Keep me posted, intersted to see how well your gun does.

  • I wanted the first edition for two reasons, I love Walther and I wanted this gun for about six months before production started, and because of collecting reasons. If there are any complications with the first edition line, Walther will have a recall and it will be fixed.

  • Lol, your choice..

    Looking forwrd to updates

  • I got the gun a few days ago, my first gun, its bad ass, i have about 100 rounds for it, the ammo is expensive for it

  • I have a little under 20 rounds, not nearly enough for a great review, but it's all I have to put through it that isn't better ammo for self defense. Have fun with it, let me know how it does at the range.

  • will post a report, i will take it to the range early sat morning.

  • Ok, thanks

  • Good mini-review.

The PK380 trigger is better than the P99 ?

I hate the P99 trigger, it's too long. You are agree with me?

Sorry for my english, I'm spanish.

Thanks and congratulations for the mini-review ;)

  • From what I can tell the PK380 trigger is the same as, or very close to that on the P22, a longish, double-action first shot followed by short, single-action follow-ups. I really like the single action on the PK380 (and on the P22). It's not a 1911, but still good.

  • Thanks for the explanation.

The accuracy is good? Or is similar to the P22?

    Thanks

  • So far I've only shot one box through it and not past 7 yards. At 7 yards a medium speed, 6-shot group were all within about a 1 inch radius semi-circle.

  • I don't own a P99, so I really don't know.

  • I love mine. I also have a first edition model which is good because extra mags are hare to come by. The only thing I dont like about it is that you need that key to take it apart. Other than that its a pretty good shooter and it conceals very well.

  • I agree, the key is a bit of a pain. But...every gun is different.

  • Dont get me wrong its defiantly not a deal breaker. Also you might want to note that the slide is steel on the PK380. Not zinc alloy like the P22. It should be a lot more durable. Another criticism I could make would be the magazine capacity. It seems like there is enough room to make it a double stack.

  • Comment removed

  • Also there is no stupid magazine trigger safety....Thanks for the review. Can't wait to hear what you have to say.

  • I'm not really sure about a double stack possibility if you are using it for a conceal and carry, but they could have shortened the spring to make room for another round,...maybe. And the P22 is actually heavier than the PK380, which as you mentioned, is because of the metal difference. I also miss the slide release Walther had on the P22...they should have kept that small detail.

  • good review thanks i think this is going to be my new main concealed carrier

  • Can't wait to see how it shoots.

  • ME EITHER!!!! :)

  • I bought a PK380 last week and got it to the range last night. I put most of a box of ammo through it with no issues. I was shooting it along side my SR9 and P22 for comparison. It felt really good and did not have much more recoil than the P22. My initial impression of the accuracy were positive, but I was only shooting at 7 yards. My only complaint, is that the double-action trigger pull seemed a little heavy.

  • Double action usually is a bit heavy at first, plus it's new so it may take some time to work it in. Thanks for the info on it shooting, I can't wait to get mine to the range. It's good to know that right out of the box and it being a first edition (I am assuming yours is) it can perform well. Thanks!

  • Yeah, my P22's DA pull was heavy at first too. Mine is not a first edition. Other than the low serial number and the "First Edition" painted on the slide, there is no difference between the two guns. The real difference is in the packaging. Mine came with one magazine in the same case as my P22, while the first edition has a bigger case with an extra magazine and a holster. I didn't like the holster, so didn't want to pay an extra $100 (at least at my local shop) for a $30 dollar magazine.

  • I didn't know they had different cases and such, that's new to me. I have all the fancy stuff for it. I wanted to keep the collecting mind set when I got it. I agree about the holster, but it is kind of cool that it comes with it, and the extra magazine is there too. Not only are they hard to find...nearly impossible, but they are expensive...at least for me.

  • If she likes the P22, you should probably try the Pk380 if she is wanting to shoot a bigger caliber. It might be an easier merge for her if she is used to the way a Walther functions...but I don't know how it performs yet...I'll get back to you on that. I can say that if she has smaller hands like I do, the Pk380 has a great grip on it, fits like a glove. The problem is finding a PK380 in stock anywhere, I got lucky.

  • Awesome! I have been looking forward to getting my hands on this gun. I really want one for my wife and think she will love it. She likes the p22 when we go to the range. Who knows, I might just get one for me too! :) Can't wait to see your range review.
