Anyone who stands against Scientology is on the side of Humanity. You have to be weak weak weak to fall prey to the poisonous tentacles of Scientology. But keep in mind: when you're severely famous, your life is completely incomparable to the life of a normal human being. We can't completely blame these people for resorting to their Scientologist beliefs. Think about it.. Beck, Jeffrey Tambor? If anything, this speaks not just to the severity of brainwashing in America but also the severity.

Not necessarily, for example. I have an IQ that makes most smart people look like idiots, and I'm happy to follow Christianity. Anything as hippy as "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you", is a very good control method for the general population. And following that doesn't hurt your ability to get along with people. Only advancement in a capitalist society, but most people don't advance that far anyway.

I know a great many people who have IQ's higher than mine but they lack basic common sense or social skills and fall readily prey to religion. Believing something with out evidence or contradictory to evidence dose not make you dumb or unintelligent. What makes you one of those to things is when you are presented with the facts and chose to ignor them because they contradict your position. Then you are being dumb.
