These scientiest know what's going down. You can see it in their eyes. They know this is going to change everything. All historical context will be gone, and we are stepping into a totally different paradigm.
Are they taking care to ensure that the buckyball particles produced in making products such as in China and other places are not harmful to our health? I was reading about this in National Geographic a few months back that there is a particle that must be attached to each buckyball for it to be neutral and harmless; otherwise we are (consumers) in big health trouble using nanotech designed products. Also been seeing nanotech clothing recently in the US.
Think they sounded pretty levelheaded, and the iPod Nano was on the Forbes top 10 nano products of 2006, so you can´t blame the guy for mentioning it.
We outline our project in more detail at http://www.demos.co.uk/nano/ and links can be found <a href="http://www.demos.co.uk/projects/currentprojects/ESRCnanotech/resources/
Just wait until that dinosaur steps out of it's museum and begins to walk the streets! Then people will understand the world we're moving into.
