  • Man, the women on TV looked so hot back in those days.

  • @smokes2468 No argument from me here!

  • All in the familys ratings bumped Bewitched off the air. Had bewitched changed MORE with the times I think the show would of survived. Sisters at heart was the best episode in the right direction but then they went back to rewriting old episods and the same old same old.

  • i miss Bewitched!!

  • Ah, back when women going braless was cool. Now, THOSE were the days!

  • Bewitched was outdated by 1972. As great a show as it was. All shows lose steam after 4-5 years anyway. I wish it had been cancelled earlier, imagine all the great movies Liz would have done before Case of Rape and Lizzie Borden.

  • @DA90027 I agree this show should have been cancelled after season 5 & what happened to Dick York, I think only reason it was brought back in 6th season in 1969 - 1970 & w/ Dick Sargeant is because of Samantha being left pregnant at end of season 5. That being written, Season 7 in 1970 - 1971 did have some decent episodes that were somewhat original (not all mind you, & Sargeant improved in Season 7), but letting it continue for Season 8 & after success of single Mary Richards on CBS it

  • @sneezyize should have been cancelled for a Season 8 -- but I think ABC wasn't ready for that at the time, unfortunately for Liz and everyone else involved with the show (I do wonder if perhaps Agnes Moorhead might have survived a few more years if the show had been let go at that time as well.)

  • Bewitched's ratings were very low at this point. To make matters worse the writers

couldn't come up with original stories. Still the show survives in syndication where others come and go.

  • Ashmont Productions was the production company from leading star Elizabeth Montgomery and her then-husband director William Asher.

  • Really brings back memories!!! I think I would be a very happy person if I was to get transported, and stuck back in the 70's!!( if I could still have my cell phone of course!!) I would live out my days, as the happiest 2year old using a cell phone and watching Bewitched!!!!!!!!

  • Unfortunately, by January 1972, Saturday night was the time...for CBS' "ALL IN THE FAMILY", at 8pm(et). When "GETTING TOGETHER" (a spin-off from "THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY" starring Bobby Sherman & Wes Stern) faltered in that time period in the fall of '71, Screen Gems/Columbia merely replaced it (with ABC's approval) with "BEWITCHED". But "Archie Bunker" had become too popular to change most viewers' habits about tuning in another program...even if it WAS "Samantha".
