i really strongly believe that if you fix all the same things in life the big things seem to happen naturally and life as a whole seems a million times better until i take a shower and look at my small penis and i say why was i giving this, is it so i dont reproduce is it for a reminder that size doesn't matter or is it reminder that god messed up on genetics?
It's not about blame. It's about taking responsibility. I did some volunteer work last summer in New Orleans. I was able to speak to a lot of people affected by Hurricane Katrina. Some chose to blame the government and lived in dreadful conditions. While others of the same economic class empowered themselves by accepting responsibility to create their own solution. It was a night and day difference.
the mass amount of people in all those situations i mentioned didnt have to take any responsibility for anything caused what caused those catastrophes they had nothing to do with. the ppl at the top of all those corps that layed ppl off are the ones that need to take responsibility. as far as katrina goes the gov should have made the place safe to live or not let anyone live there in the first place.
its like saying you need to take responsibility for 9/11
You are misunderstanding me. I'm not saying the people who suffered in 9/11 are responsible. I'm saying we are responsible for our REACTIONS to whatever life throws at us. It's a shift in energy from victim to empowerment.
What can be frustrating is that for the person with this liberated perspective, the experience of what you talk about seems effortless, but for the rest of us, the experience or insight seems impenetrable. Even with the bridge of mindfulness, it can still seem impossible to make progress.
I have had a cumulative experience of waking up. Each step has been revealing but only a part of the puzzle. It takes a great deal of faith to look up the road and see the distance I still have to go but also look down the other way and see how far I have come. It gets easier with practice. Just apply what you can when you can, and you will have gotten a lot closer. Remember - it's not instant gratification ;-D
Urantia Book quote: 133:7.10 A human mind, built up solely out of the consciousness of physical sensations, could never attain spiritual levels; this kind of material mind would be utterly lacking in a sense of moral values and would be without a guiding sense of spiritual dominance which is so essential to achieving harmonious personality unity in time, and which is inseparable from personality survival in eternity.
Another awesome vid, Steve :) I haven't seen a new vid in a while.
Speaking of examining our lives witha magnifying glass, I had a dream last night that I was looking for a job on a computer terminal, but I couldn't see the text on the printouts of these jobs, and I had to use a magnifying glass to see the text. How ironic that your's is the first video I watched today since you talk about examining your life with a magnifying glass...:)
Enjoyed this one, its very good. I think often I examine my life and see things I need to change and know that I can but my own will often becomes do easy, whatever is easiest, that is my problem. I know what I actually need and my own energy does make me happy its just drained from me by my relationships and my work, one day I can stop putting energy into these things, I'm working towards that.
Please make morevideos like this!

so all the ppl that lost there job in this recession have only themselves to blame, what about the ppl from enron or world com, or katrina.

Excellent point. We are responsible and the creator of our current circumstance. Isn't it ironic we need to have discipline to also have freedom ?

Well said. The fruits of freedom is self discipline.

Gibberish. You talk as if humans have any free will. We don't.
Free will is like the belief in a fictional god.

This video did. For without this video, there wouldn't be a reply.

Dang....i understand. I wonder if there can be nothing... (-_-)

If free will doesn't exist and there is no God. What controls our behavior?
vagabondsteve 2 years ago
A molecular dance.
Then mind comes along and puts a label on itself and everything else. This is me. This is you.
