  • Those who dislike are Wall Street puppets

  • he must've scored so much with college chicks

  • That 'young' college speaker is totally a Republican! Just my thought.

  • John Silber was a crook, a filthy, creedy man, a tyrann and a little dictator. That is exactly the kind of men America needed, he knew it needed, and was thus confident enough to call Noam Chomsky, of all, a phony and a liar. Shame on you, Imperialist America!

  • When the truth hurts, the guilty get louder. The misinformationist sitting next to Chomsky had one goal: make Chomsky look like a liar, yet he didn't do it with facts or legitimate debate, he did it with an overt "liar, liar pants on fire" agenda. Too bad his style represents about 40% of America. We deserve what we're getting today, we've earned it.

  • @ConsortiumAuthor The scary thing is that John Silber guy was and/or is the president of Boston University.

  • @deluxeaction and a democrat!

  • Sarah Palins future husband right there.

  • "If I give an analysis of say the economic system and I point out that GM tries to maximize profit and marketshare..thats not a conspiracy theory..thats an institutional analysis. "

    Gonna remember that one.

  • This video changed my life after I Actually looked at the claims...

  • People who criticize rape are "fags." Rape a dittos!

  • the show host should have told the guest to stop interruping noam, instead he says "we're out of time". it's like they're in on it together

  • lol That fucking frat boy, what a dumb fucking drone. No respect or intellect.

  • wauw the only time I saw Noam chomsky upset: 6:35

  • Nice illustration of what Chomsky says in that piece with Silber. On TV, Chomsky isn't given time to justify his dissident opinion, but an idiot like Silber can just say things are nonsense without any justification and before Chomsky can reply, he's cut.

  • Who's that nonce in the frat sweater? Bet he works on Wall Street now.

  • We need more people like Noam Chomsky as a public influence, then pawns of the public eye like Kesha and Cheryl Cole. I loved his smile when he tried to continue after being rudely interupted and then told they were out of time. He didn't look surprised, or infact bothered, he'd already predicted that shit.

  • I am from Fox. Thanks for this video. I am always looking for these kind of brats ignorant, annoying and lacking any sense of intellect but still have unlimited capacity of provocation.. I ll see to it he is hired if he isn't already working. Boss is going to be so happy :)

  • Imagine being that douche at 1:55, being owned by Noam Chomsky himself. Right now he's either in the government, or he looks back at this moment and covers his face in shame.

  • at around 1:10 the old guy says the media offers balanced perspectives: conservative & liberal... maybe "conservative" & "liberal" are red herrings as it were. instead of paying attention to what our government is doing, we pay attention to different fads within the government. the hell with where it's taking us. that's something to meditate..

  • Noam didn't provide a huge shit covered corporate cock for the future SS officer to suck, waaaa.

  • I would have liked to hear what Silber had to say - I don't think it would have been the truth but it would have been interesting to know what kind of fantasy world he lives in.

  • Noam is a really good guy who doesn't afraid of anything. (oLO)/

  • One very impt notion Chomsky points out is how the media "frames the debate." I think as citizenry if we really made it a goal to understand how msm frames debate, we'll be well on our way to have the ability to think clearly and rationally and sideskirt around propoganda. It's crucial that we do so. This left/right paradigm is a facade. The people need to unite for the power to obtain the progress we so deserve. We should never be complacent when only 10% of the population isn't suffering.

  • @blaziermissy It's also important for critically thinking citizens to organize and share in a mutual desire to take responsibility for the predictable consequences of their actions around the world. It is extremely difficult to personally find and connect with such people in a society that is pacified by mass media entertainment smart phone xbox 360 drunken hungover weekend catatonia. This happens by resisting the imposed boundaries of mass media to speak freely and openly with others.

  • @firstnamenavarre ;) couldn't agree more..

  • what an arrogant prick that kid.....

  • I really like Noam Chomsky. He seems like a really decent guy.

  • Fantastic comment on conspiracy theory. Its so easy for the media to tag this on truly informative information. Immediately it abstracts dumbed down society from wanting to look at issues further

  • That frat dude = bag-o-douche!

  • lol that guy at the beginning ! He looked like he was having an argument with Joe Pesci.

  • Hahaha old men arguing.

  • The frat kid is funny in a way because he's so clueless:

"Where are the elites, I don't see them?"

It's you, kiddo. You're the elite. Only a member of the elite could say something as disgusting as "WE ARE ALLOWING YOU to speak."

  • Mr. John Sibler was very disrespectful towards Mr. Chomsky in the clip at the end. It's only logical to allow someone to finish their sentences when there is a limited ammount of time for discussion. What he did at the end was essentially muting the discussion by constantly interupting. I severly dislike people who do that, it's a sign that they have run out of arguments. When they can't debate in context they start screaming and raising their voices. DIsgusting...

  • 0:43 guy standing against the fence: Now THAT is a thick Philadelphia accent.

  • That train attendant is a fucking idiot...lol...

  • "Silber shockers"

  • So didn't see that bit with chomsky snapping at the end there!

  • You know you're an idiot when you manage to get Noam Chomsky to raise his voice.

  • f...ing phi delt is so pissed i love it!

  • Would love to see the full footage of the WGBH Ten O'Clock News clip featured at 6:05. Phew! Get 'em Noam! The hatred for human rights coming from the right wing is boundless.

  • @bapyou dito

  • @bapyou that video was actually posted on youtube for a while, but the user, for some unknown reason, voluntarily took it down. It wasn't removed because of copyright, his account wasn't suspended. It's just gone. What a shame

  • Both sides, liberal and conservative. Lol. Yeh coz they're the only 2 ideollogies in the world. Silly old man.

  • Chomsky pwned Silber!

  • Chomsky pwned John Silver! ahahahahaha

  • 1:53 Frat boy more than likely concerned with the party that weekend than bothering with research concerning political foreign affairs.

  • @blaziermissy Frat Boys Run America. Yale? Skull and Bones?

  • @lebiew I didn't say that, I simly made a comment on the simplistic thoughts of the frat boy in this video. I don't mean to stereotype but he's obviously not critically thinking.

Skull/Yale Egos and tendencies we've been "taught" to look at as honorable and aspiring.

  • @blaziermissy Completely agree..........................he was owned...'we are allowing you to speak'...sounds pretty totalitarian

  • @blaziermissy That frat boy found the shirt in his brother's closet, I've met Phi Delts and they wouldn't let that guy join. Although he is stupid enough to be a member.

  • It's such a rare thing to see Chomsky get angry in all of the hundreds of videos and interviews he's done. I think this is probably the only one where I've ever seen him actually riled up, and boy, can I sympathize with him.

  • Bullseye! They (the corporations) dont want an analysis done on them! They want to be "free" to pillage & plunder at will, regardless of the consequences on others, in an orgy of petty self indulgence! Thank you Chomsky! But they censored you from my school lessons all those years ago!

  • Right at the end of the video when the news channel cuts off Chomsky he smiles as though to say "thanks for proving my point."

That was clearly set up to disparage Chomsky. He was interrupted, accused of being a phony and then cut off, thus marginalising his position.

  • Great documentary. Because of this, this night, I'm buying ten Chomsky books. I want to read him more

  • 6:30 lol never seen chomsky that irritated

  • Yeah, but he's the one smiling at the end!

  • 1:56 nice greek system shirt, dude :P

  • I can't stand Us TV!! it is single-minded, and as I said, not free at all. How does the journalist dare to discredit such an intellectual as Chomsky & call him a liar without an argument?? The Us is indeed totally run by corporations and the press are their servants.

  • How come the debate was omitted? Is there a more complete online version? There was some good commentary during that debate.

  • I agree, that would have been a great debate. Sorry to say, that's all there was on the dvd. Let me know if you find it . Thanks.

  • @KIRKRH1

Perhaps in an archive somewhere but there isn't any online.

  • @KIRKRH1 Yeah just to let you know, the version you have (and Im grateful for your posting it) is missing quite a bit of stuff. I can't imagine why but you might be interested to find the more complete version for your own interest

  • Did Noam Chomsky lose his temper at the end of this clip. I didn't think that was possible.

  • Chomsky's über-zen chess player demanor is very cool, but is refreshing to see that he is capable of emotions. It only adds to his genius.

  • thx for putting this on youtube.....its great!!
