  • Virgins everywhere :o

  • Is this on blur ray or dvd with the reat of the movie??, i want it!!!!

  • @SpearMintKing blu ray extended

  • Awesome Scene Wouldve Explained Luke's New Saber, And Vader's Attempt to seduce Luke to The darkside. But I Can't Really See It Fitting Into return of the Jedi

  • no wonder it was cut.

  • Doesn't this come in the blu-ray release which I have?

  • Ha ha, I love this vid. The peoples reaction is cool.

  • i cant believe what all u morons get all happy for! the people cheering should be beaten with a baseball bat!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

  • this was probably left out so it looks as if luke is going to jabba's palace unarmed. thus, there is a surprise element when R2-D2 shoots out a new light sabre.

and if george lucas put this scene back in, this is exactly what everyone would complain about.

  • @33LB Good Point :)

  • Dude, that is really cool. But I think it's better as a deleted scene.

  • this was an awesome scene should've been in the movie

  • Great scene, but it is better as a deleted one. Simply put, it wasnt needed but Im glad I saw it.

  • What a fucking awesome scene, fuck, why did they leave it out? boo

  • When Luke fired up his lightsbor Vader should have said NOOOOOOOOO!

  • I see you have constructed a new light saber indeed you are as powerful as the emperor has foreseen

  • If only the rest of the movie was this cool. More proof that George Lucas is a dork.

  • Vader saying "Luuuuuuuuuuuke" at 0:30 just sounded so, so shit and it was a scene that deserved it's place on the cutting room floor which makes the whooping and cheering of all those Lucas sycophants all the more annoying.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were the same type of people cheering when Yoda pulled out a lightsaber in AOTC.

    Shit scene.

  • @824brianh you're annoying...it's called enjoying life...

  • @824brianh That scene had been a myth for years, yeah it was.

  • @824brianh Yes! Is really exciting, and I just feel sorry for you 'cause you'll never understand this...

  • Lucas included that stupid scene with jaba in the new hope and left out this important scene . in Jedi - what a twat

  • part of me wants lucas to remake the trilogy

  • @rondevuz Please no, he will find a way to screw it up.

  • @rondevuz

OMG! you went there! you went there and back again! mesa cannot beleeeve it!

  • Fuking Freaks

  • These idiots waited 27 years for a scene where Luke just screws a bolt on his lightsaber hilt and ignites it. That's a construction scene? LAME! The Shadows of the Empire novel described the construction scene in perfect and descriptive detail and it felt so epic. These nerds obviously never left the basement in their entire lives :P

  • That would have been great, damn it!! 30+ years now we get it, thats lame George!

  • for all you star wars haters there's a special place for you to burn in Hell right in between Vader and the Emperor!!!

  • Stupid cunts! STFU AND WATCH. Hate to go watch a movie with these fucks, have to walk out of it.

  • If those fucking virgins weren't all coming at once so loudly, that would be an ok video.

  • George Lucas is an epic liar. Vader looks different and we never see Luke's face. It's not real you morons.

  • @zeroeffects88 then why does it still look old like the originals, if your implying that he just threw it together then it would look like the new ones

  • @zeroeffects88 It's completely real. Even that scene is included in the original trailer of 1982.

  • @alvarete66xd

I never saw any of this in any of the original trailers.

Which one are u talking about?

  • I came

  • 0:38 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ????

  • That Yeh!!!! guy should try to get out more.

  • No wonder why it didn't make the film.It was awful.

    Luuuke,Luuke,Luuuke.

  • is this supposed to be exciting or something

    give me a break

  • All those flashing cameras totally ruined this spoiler for me! Wehhhh!!!! :3

  • shut the fuck up! fucking audience

  • That looked so Awesome! :D

  • Stupid croud... Jango! shoot them or... something!!!!

  • sort of glad it was cut, isnt that brilliant really, ok for a deleted scene though.

  • This shot has NOT been re-integrated into the movie - it's a stand-alone deleted scene. :(

  • This shot has NOT been re-integrated into the movie - it's a stand-alone deleted scene. :(

  • Wow, epic moment hahaha

  • that may be the only good addition lucas has made

  • This got me so excited. I was really looking foward to this set. And then we saw Kenobi's foghorn chicken scream & Vader's NO! in Jedi and everything came crashing down. What the hell happened??

  • Comment removed

  • you sure this is deleted Georgie?

i mean why do you bother hiding Luke's face??

  • @unclebobpart2:

Ja Jar was simply a substitute for C-3PO. Don't get so worked up about it.

  • They should have fed Jar Jar Binks to the Sarrlacc. What a piece of shit character.

  • whoa that was fucking badass

  • Luuuuuuuuuke Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke

  • That one guy who screams YEEEAAAAAAAHHHH! at about 38 seconds in, whereas everyone else has the decency to quietly applaud, or even better, wait until after, is an utter dick.

  • Simply wasn't needed in the movie. I prefer the way Luke was presented in ROTJ; as the last main character introduced.

  • I don't buy that this scene was even shot for Return of the Jedi. It doesn't strike anyone as odd that you can't see Luke's face? And where would this scene have been in the original movie? Before Tatooine? So they jump from the scroll to Luke making his light saber and back to Tatooine? Gimme a break. If it was ever shot during the production of Revenge Of The Jedi, it seems more likely that it would have been part of a teaser trailer.

  • @kanedaBJF Luke was making his lightsaber in Tatooine. The hooded face is to give a mysterious aura to the jedi.

  • @kanedaBJF Mark Hamill said in an interview that he had nothing to do with this.

  • @gam3rman This wouldn't surprise me. I smell a way to drum up excitement and anticipation for the Blue Ray release which conveniently has this scene back in. I just noticed I put Revenge of the Jedi, rather than Return - damn trivia creeping into my posts!

  • @gam3rman NO Mark Hamill said he didnt remember filming this. NOw think about that for a moment. this was filmed close to 30 years ago. And i'll assure you the scene is authentic since i've sat and watched the whole thing in its1980's patch work cut.

  • What's the problem with all those retarded nerds in the crowd yelling for nothing?

  • My name is Luke, and this scene creeps me out so much.

  • That must be the scene wich the RotJ Special Edition of the Soundtrack talked about.

For that, the main title originally was longer. The booklet said when Vader entered the new death star in the opening scene and talked to the general, originally the scene did not sigue to Tatooine but showed Vader as he tried to contact Luke. The booklet also said, that Luke was building his new lightsaber.

So I guess THAT'S the scene (wich was then deleted before the release)

  • George Lucas- "What was messsa dinkin leavin out de scene, by de gods"

  • what is the scene about.. i can't hear anything except 'luke, luke'

  • It's hard to tell if Luke modified Obi-Wan's lightsaber, or if he just modeled his after Obi-Wan's.

  • @waterwind2266 no its not, obi wans saber was lost in a new hope against vader, luke didnt run over and pick it up did he? but he probably did model it after obi wan's. in fact i think i read somewhere he used instructions left by obi wan.

  • That... was... AWESOME!

  • I love the hooded Jedi look always cool.

  • You underestimate the power of the Warsie Fan squeal.

  • It was cool until it was completely ruined by people who couldnt shut up until after it was over....the dude who yelled Yeaaaahhhhhhh shouldve been smacked by Lucas himself.

  • "YAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" The Force is loud on this one...

  • that nerd in the audience just came EVERYWHERE....

  • @paz77ful

    HA!!!

  • LUKE SKYWALKER BUILT THIS IN A CAVE....WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!

  • wasnt that mark hamill in the cave, making the new light saber?

  • Where did this come from

  • The nerd that yelled YEAH has probably never seen a vagina before. Except his mother's when he was born. What a douche bag.

  • Comment removed

  • YEAH BABY, USA USA USA, JERRY JERY JERRY

  • i dont get it, what happened and why are americans whooping and cheering like jerry springer guests?

  • I remember this scene, I was there when they showed it.

  • This is awesome

  • They should never have cut this scene out; I agree...

  • 0:46 sends a tingle up my spine meaning best noise a lightsaber made in the whole saga

  • Great stuff, pity some folks whoop & holler,

STFU, Loud is the dumb side of the Force!!

  • lol thought it was darth sidious at first.

  • Luke makes Lightsabvers like a BOSS!

  • I vote he does what Peter Jackson did for LOTR. Just make an extended version of Star Wars with all the cut scenes that makes sense. He doesn't have to worry about timing or anything because it won't be out in theaters. He knows he can do it. Just a matter of if he's willing to do it.

  • my god...im sooo ashamed!!

  • Fucking kool. Tweaking his Lightsaber like a PRO Jedi!

  • Why was this left out? it really shows how haunted Luke was by Vader and makes his "I have to go face Vader" speech to Leia at the end much more acceptable. As it stood before, the only reason the Luke really had to go confront him was because Yoda told him to.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 0:38 "YEAHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH" LMAO xD

  • I think it's funny when people try to take flash pictures of a TV screen...

  • Funny enough the music from this whole scene is still on the Star Wars Return of the Jedi cd. I wonder why Lucas never included this into the remastered version on DVD.

  • Too bad the Blu Ray versions are going to be the shitty versions. Give me a restored theatrical version and I'll be happy. I'm not shelling out any more money so I can pad Lucas' bank account for crap.

  • It's not fake. The BluRay pack Deleted Scene teaser footage shown at SDCC '11 has a brief clip of Luke igniting the lightsaber like he does in this shot.

We'll be seeing this clip and much more in September :D

  • stfu fans cheer after the scene not during u fuckin nerds

  • I agree stfu cheer when it's over cmon people!

  • Completely ruined by loud idiots in the audiece. WTF! Cheer after the scene, not during!!!

  • @crowdwinner I was there, and trust me, it was fun. This wasn't a press event, and you weren't even supposed to have your camera in there.

  • It is fake. Mark hamil says so himself.

  • @SithLord908 Your face is fake. Mark Hamill says so himself.

  • @zzzolll that was fucking stupid and made no sense. if you dont believe me, go watch the interview dumbass.

  • @SithLord908 lol you're right. Still, I wonder how did they make him here? It's his face though, I mean, you can't see whole face but you can easly recognize that this is real him in clip above.

  • I cant believe he is fixing his Light sabre with a compass

  • fake

  • Sticking a deleated scene back in is fine but for the love of God "NO MORE DIGITAL UPGRADES!!!!"

  • gay!

  • Yep, this should have been in the final cut.

  • Maybe they will put this back in the film for the Blu ray be kinda cool if they did but they prolly wont

  • it would show that Vader is Luke's father too early

  • @Svastara2 Vader told him in Empire Strikes Back

  • so I (once again) watched (more like ODed) all 6 parts and I'm a little dazed, Star wars rocks. Anyways, I don't really understand the hoopla about this whole "lost scene" could someone tell me the whole story. I wasn't alive yet when the old parts came out so I feel like I'm missing something

  • The "hooded-shot" doesn't look like Hamill at all. I saw it immediately. Looks like it's shot recently, but we're made to believe it's "old" footage. But I could be wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @stitch99 Ok, but here Mark Hamill denies the scene was shot:

    watch?v=XczClAxhCEM&feature=player_embedded

  • @MaceIII WHAT? so this scene is real or not?

  • Vader wants closure. You could tell.

  • @MrGENOSTV :( Vader just wants a hug from his son

  • I stopped being excited for anything Star Wars when George Lucas took a crap on the fans by making The Phantom Menace.

  • what is it about? This scene says nothing -.-

  • 2:C3P0 is standing behind some terrible 80's matte painting, obviously not restored

  • 1: the music score.

  • whats with rh3z dumb comment? and whats with the 44 thumbs up for that? Thats a pretty sick scene, yeah maybe Vader shouldn't have said Luke several times but still, to show Luke creating his new lightsaber was pretty sick especially when he activates it for the 1st time.

  • @TheOjibway84

I am constantly amazed at the number of people with no sense of irony. Like this guy.

  • @tedhimself and Im constantly impressed at how many people who waste their daily lives to go and say shit like that. hmmmm maybe you need to get out a little more. now be a good little momma's boy, turn off your computer and move out of your parents house and get a life. hmmmm? That way you will stfu.

  • @TheOjibway84 So if I point out that you're a moron, I'm the bad guy? I guess I'll just have to be the bad guy then because I gotta say it- you're a moron.

  • @tedhimself um yeah because once again you arguing something that is irrelevant to this topic. you decide to sit down again and argue like a little child hows there any irony in my first comment? The kid obviously didn't take in the fact that it was a scene never put into the movie becasue Lucas thought it was a waste of time so they never really had time to edit the scene fully... put in a cgi yoda? like come on thats not the point of the scene

  • @TheOjibway84 if you need me to point it out - HE WAS JOKING. His entire post is not to be taken seriously. You've read a post that's a parody, and taken it literally. Because you are a moron.

  • @rh3z Or, if it would please you, perhaps a shitty Yoda puppet and no personality in the film?

  • This raped my childhood!!! The strange thing is....I liked it....or should I say "Mooey mooey, me luvs it!"

  • Couple of minutes of George's leftovers translates to millions of dollars. The man is a genius.

  • Fake. Impressively executed, but utterly fake.

  • @TheJediCharles It's real.

  • @GerardWayJr

Hamill said he never filmed it. The video quoting him is available here if you want facts.

Its' so obvious how the video components are "Frankensteined" together; Hamill's likeness isolated from a different shot, buried in the hood worn by someone else; they're not Hamill's hands. Very convenient that the most difficult element, 3PO is outside, also another shot obtained elsewhere, and all in a claustrophobic environment easy to composite in.

It was not created by Lucas for ROTJ.

  • chills. Love it!!!!

  • A single pizza roll.

  • This scene looks like it was filmed in 2010 and is totally retarded.

Thank god I will have Harmy's HD Despecialized Fan edit of this movie instead of the Official Blue Rays which will be another total disgrace to my childhood memories.

  • @pumaman1 Because you really have the expertise to know what a film shot in 2010 VS the 80's looks like fully restored? Someone needs to take the stick out of your ass.

  • So it seems Luke has already turned to the dark side.

  • What I don't understand is that why they didn't just leave this in the final cut.It wouldve made Luke look more badass

  • @meljonlove: Agree

  • @meljonlove

Not only that, but it shows Vader taking a more active role in trying to turn Luke, makes it look like Luke has been training vigourously since ESB, ties together the Vader scenes and the rescue mission, and focuses the rescue mission on it as the final stage of Luke's training. That's a heck of a lot from a clip that's less than a minute long. And, no, I don't buy that the "surprise factor" of lighting the sabre later justifies dropping it.

  • @meljonlove Yeah but this was at the turn of Lucas going to the dark side and being all about the kiddies.

  • @meljonlove because it's fake

  • @meljonlove They left it out to make Luke's eventual entrance into the movie more dramatic. It also makes the reveal of his lightsaber at the Sarlaac more of a surprise.

  • what's with all the nerds

  • think luke should of been done in cgi

  • a lot of "nerdgasm"

  • where the nerds at??? lol

  • they should have kept that scene.

  • its very annoying hearing people applauding all the time

  • i don' get it ??? was this really filmed in 83, or was this some kind of new scene put together ????

  • this scene is real I think, remember when I read the book ROJ, in first chapter, the writer tell something like this, than Luke made his own light saber in the Ben Kenobi´s house in Tattoine desert, in that place Luke found the ancient tools and Pontites crystals, to made his saber, this scenes with others, like when Han Solo talk with a space whore in the cantina are than I want to see integrated to the movies some day, hey Lucas, what you waiting for do this?

  • Apparently this scene is going to be on the blu-ray version with others

  • Mark Hamill has said in an interview that this is not him
