I think the courts in the US will force the issue some, by ruling gay people must be allowed to get married. That happened in Canada. The political leaders did not have the courage to do what they knew was right. The courts took leadership. I am really hoping changes will take place very soon. I know there are strong people very opposed to gay rights in the US.

Thanks for the post! While we have a few problems with homophobia, the murders of gay people, Canada is much safer than most countries for GLBT people, and I am very happy about that!

I hope you can go to a Pride Parade. Even just watching is really powerful. Being in the parade is even more powerful. When different groups come by, people applaud. At times the applause is rather loud. How many times do gay, bisexual, or trans people get applauded?
