This is stupid set it on a string man give us something to see. A pad v is for a uniqe driver with big balls they take guts and skill hydros tunnles ect. Take guts and a trim button but if you know your boat it will warn you befor it gets out of hand
wtf is a chime? one of those bell instuments??? you have a decent point about tunnels being more stable since they require less skill to drive but in rough waters I'd rather be in a v-hull anyday!
no it takes skill actually thats great uve been driving boats since u were ten but try driving one of these and pin the throttle u wuld blow over... its true they are dangerous all boats r to some extent
These boats are meant to come out of the water at highspeeds, one gust of wind or even the slightest updraft and these boats will flip. I know because of my experience with them, AND with my father experience with them. Any V-hull boat (regardless of who makes it) is less stable at high speeds compared to a tunnel hull or a split hull. I dont know how you are making these poorly informed statements but you should go read up before you talk. Hydro's are dangerous, simple!!
ok what ever u say my dad is only the 3 time high point champ with the exact boat i guess he doesnt no anything and the fact hes owned one for over 10 years and goes over 80 regularly
u bore me with your attempts to justify the safety of these hydro's. These things chime walk wayyy too much, which is why i dont race against them anymore.
Believe what you want, but i wont ever change my mind about the danger of these boats
@SuperMuise A big part of the problem with Hydros these days is the fact that the owners are putting engines that are WAY too powerful for the hull. A V-King is rated for a 175 hp motor. Sure, they can handle more than that, but the people putting huge high performance motors on them are just asking for trouble.
Your an idiot. Any boat is just as dangerous at high speeds. Plan and simple. V bottoms just take more skill to drive. Tunnels can get you into just as much trouble as well if your not careful. There just as dangerous.
Ask anyone who has experience in this shit. They will tell you that hydro`s are more dangerous than other boats because of their hull design. I said earlier "they chime walk wayyy too much" because of their hull design. A tunnel wont chime walk (bouncing would be more accurate) 10 feet from side to side. SO shut your mouth you twit. I dont care what you say, I have witnessed more accidents with these boats then any other. They go fast, but are not as stable at high speeds...
@SuperMuise Too true, I fully agree. Some people don't respect the boat, and take it for granted. Once they lose the respect, get cocky, and think they know it all, they're asking for trouble when they try to show off.
over-exaggerated trim is there for a reason. If you had enough power you would not need to trim up so much to do that.

Use the 'trim' feature... I can do this in my 2hp canoe if I leave it trimmed all the way up.

you gotta have alot of experience to drive these things
SuperMuise 2 years ago
@SuperMuise not true im 14 amd can drive at over 70 vectors and vipers on the other hand are much harder to drivecuz of a concave shaped pad
Alienworkshop741 2 years ago
yah that made a whole lotta sense.
Ive been driving boats since i was 10 buddy, you can just jump in and pin the throttle, and hope the boat will keep you safe.....

All speed boats are dangerous, but these are excessively dangerous

ur right and wrong v-kings and vikings are some of the safest ones at high speeds but vectors and vipers are the dangerous ones

Of course the "music" which is more noise than anything. not every video has to have blaring music on it!!!
