If you think governments can spend their way out of recessions, you need a class in capitalist economics. Despite what the Democrats (and a lot of the GOP) think, government does not operate outside the laws of economics. Flooding the market with dollars whilst trying to re-inflate deflating asset bubbles will only devalue currency and guard against private investment and job creation.
A centrally planned economy will never work. But there are plenty of people in power who will try.

naf, I'm really not being rude, but, You don't know what you're talking about. Let me make this very clear to you. President George W. Bush had the LEAST amount of Vetoes since Harding. Bush had an eight year total of 12 vetoes and of those, 4 were overridden. Which means President George W Bush averaged 1 veto per year.
As for the economic collapse, you're wrong on that one too. My recommendation to you is that you do a little research before you posting, anything.

Com - Let's try it again. There were a little over 1,100 pages in oblama's budget/ stimulus package. It was finished late into the night, before oblama wanted it to be voted upon, giving congress ~ 11 hrs to: Read, Review specifics, Edit &/or Modify each section. Simply not enough time to get all of this reviewing accomplished. But, that's not the worst part... mr oblama said, that everyone would have five days to review any new bills he proposed.

mav - I'm glad you asked about the People of the FLDS Community. Almost two weeks ago, Attorneys for the FLDS Community filed with the 51st District Court, stating that Judge Barbara Walteher was misled by Texas Rangers into issuing search warrants on the FLDS Schleicher County Compound.
It would appear, that a Ranger, or Rangers, knew about evidence that would have stopped any warrant. Looks like justice shall prevail, in this one! But, again thanks for asking about these nice people.

Republicans are voting NO on Democratic legislation that is trying to be forced through and also Republicans are voting NO because a lot of the bills being introduced are not bipartisan, there all made by the Democrats and have no Republican features to them. Obama and the congress call these bills bipartisan and if Republicans don't vote for them there not bipartisan.But that's simply not true the Republicans aren't the ones who aren't bipartisan it's the Democrats trying to force legislation

I'm not sure.. but if it is then it is also true that most Americans fall into one of these categories. With the divorce rate being what it is I would not doubt it. I don't see why it matters who his voters were... The Republican party is doing research to try and figure out who they have to suck up to if their is any hope at all for them in the next election... but drop outs or not most democrats are smart enough to tell when they are being used. For them it is all about money and the elite.

If economic growth occurs, which was NOT happening under the later years of the Bush admin., then the economy's growth can help alleviate the issue of taxes. Remember, Bush took us from projected suprluses to instant deficits and did not list the war in Iraq on any budget. It may not work for Mr. Obama, however, at least he is doing something - what are the republicans offering?
