  • Nanoloop hacked on to a ds lite

  • @SuperHamjam It's not hacked. the DS Lite can play GBA cartridges natively.

  • what is that?

  • hello, where can I take this. thanks.

  • how do yuo get it for ds....?

  • D: hey whats the name of that game??!

  • Nice DS Design ! :)

  • Comment removed

  • It's a cart, designed for the original Game Boy (but works with just about any Game Boy out there except the DSi and following models).

  • @prodge64 Correction:

Nanoloop 1.3 and upwards were designed for the original Gameboy line (grey brick, Color, Pocket, Light) and upwards.

Nanoloop 2 and upwards work on the Gameboy Advance line of consoles (GBA, GBA SP, SP Lite) and older DS models (Original, Lite) with GBA cart slots.

The original Gameboys and Gameboy Advances have very different hardware, and each version of NL take full advantage of this hardware.

You can buy cartridges here at nanoloop.de

  • is this a cartridge or did u download it?

  • i just got 58 dollars cool ill buy it

  • to bad it gost 58€ way to much for me :P

  • Haha it's roughly hundreds of dollars to much for me, I'm in dept.

  • nice ds skin wehre did you get it?

  • Funky!

  • how do i transfer the nanoloop to my DS lite?

  • I have a tutorial at my youtube page, and you can download free Nanoloop/Full lsdj there.

    check it out

  • Put the cartridge in

  • i recommend the Korg DS-10 for making synth songs and electro beats on the DS. it's super easy to figure out and use and works great in a live jam situation too. nanoloop is still cool, but not quite as user-friendly or fun in my opinion. Nitrotracker is sweet if use samples.

  • yea!!ive got the Korg-DS its really cool, took me a while to realise how customisable it is. Soo much you can do with it, get an R4DS and ur sorted.

  • or actually pay for the korg ds-10 game then theres more chance theyl bring out future korg ds synths ;]

  • yep, if you actually like the game, PAY FOR IT

  • thumbs up

  • korg ds-10 plus comes out feb 2010 in america

  • this is awesome. does anyone know which is better nanoloop or lsdj? with nanooloop can you do like step programming for various synth parts? and then create patterns (like an emx)? or how does this thing work?

  • whats the fastest beat you can make on this?

  • nearly 1000

  • really? like 999 or something?

    thats fucking amazing!

  • Speeding it up is insane! It creates a completely new sound for anything you are playing.

  • is it just the program on the ds or a cartridge?

  • It is on a gameboy advance cartridge

  • lol yeah it's great fun on Kinetic 2 using a midi guitar sample and doing a keyboard rush in step recording! >:D

  • WOW I really like this composition!!!

  • i dont understand wat the heck is going on! at all!!

  • how does nanoloop work? I heard you do stuff like cuit and paste the notes onto one of the 16 squares, but can someone give me a tutorial?

  • I dig it.

and, dude where did you get that skin?

  • Yeah, that skin rocks.

  • i got it at toys r us...

  • @demonfarm

You should have answered: "I was born with that skin"

  • I've used LSDJ for so long nanoloop blew my mind with confusion.

  • :( I really wish 2.3 had 8 tracks. The new version is only going to have 4 like 1.3 which I think is a MAJOR downgrade. Still, 2.3 will be a lot easier to work with and will have quite a few cool features ;).

  • i got the 1.3 version. i really like it.

but it sounds like 2.2 has so much of a wider sound range. what are the advantages of getting the newer cartrage?

  • 1.3 definitely milks the old school GB sounds and def sounds grittier, i jump back and forth from both versions CONSTANTLY...

2.2 has an additional 4 tracks, ADSR, LFOs, an FM waveform, filter control (sequenced or realtime) theres also a multichannel view where you can chain 4 patterns per channel. Very powerful cart. Its very different than 1.3, theres definitely more synthesizer type control for the waveforms. But its worth it for the extra 4 tracks.

  • by far your comment has been the most intelligent, and the most interesting.

    keep up the good work!!

  • Houston, we have a retard.

Keep up the good work, your tunes rocks

  • gra261985:

if it sucks so bad, why do so

    many people like it?

    It takes skill. no joke.

    love Chiptune :)

    Good work.

  • how do u do that

  • and btw oliver made a great piece of programming ... sure that he doesnt provide a rom!

  • love your works ... waiting for the DS-10?!

  • We are not talking about a world leading company here, but a german pioneer who deserves credit for his art. The least you can do is pay for the fucking game.

    Go fuck yourself.

  • I would buy LSDJ + Gameboy Original, but the fact that the game is 75$US is my only problem, when i can get 2 Gameboys for 6$ on eBay

  • I buy nanoloop 2.1 and 1.3 ....

And i'd like to use it on my ds without the big carbridge, but i can't...

  • Amazing!!! Minimal electro on the fly!!

Doesnt sound 8 bitish at all though,

is it becuase of the soundchip of the ds

    or was this samplebased?

  • nanoloop 2.2 was designed for the gameboy advance sound registers...its definitely a different sound unlike the old school gameboy.

Nanoloop 2.2 actually ventures into fm synthesis...

  • bydby

  • I've only got 1.3...

Curious... does this have the same around as channels as 13? L R N S?

    or does it have more?

  • its the same as 1.3 but the sound is slightly different

  • nanoloop 2.2 has 8 seperate channels and you can assign each channel to any waveform you wish to choose from.

  • so is this software that goes in the game boy

  • Really not a fan of w/e is being played i still like the 1.3 sound.

  • agreed,

    1.3 = much better

  • cool, so nl 2.2 has a black background? i have 2.01, which has a clear background...

    Sounding very nice.

  • How does the 8-bit sound hold up when amplified, via speakers or external effects processing?

  • I own the older version, for the grey gameboys, where its not an emulated sound, instead of that its the original sound from the soundchip. and I can say its a blast! the bass is deep as hell. but its dirty of course...

  • das ist ma cool!!!

  • woah..

    and cool ds..

  • is this hard to do?

  • If you don't know what you're doing, yes.

  • you should try the GameCube Gameboy player! TV screen ftw!

  • looking good :)

  • could i have a rom dumb plz

  • Awesome, how much did it cost you?

  • depending on what musicstyle you like. 1.3 is more for real 8bit noizze while 2.2 is for more "fruity" sounds :) and modern filter FX

  • 1.3 isn't 8bit noise mate. its 4bit. 2.2 is 8 bit :)

  • are you shure?

    First Gb=8bits , no?

  • it's 4bit sound.

    l2p noob

  • The Gameboy (DMG-001) had an 8 bit CPU and two square wave channels, 1 programmable 32-sample 4 bit PCM wave, and 1 white nose channel.

  • dude HOW CAN I ACCESS the waveforms in a gameboy?

  • You need one of these Homebrew cartridges, I don't honestly think there is a way with just a gameboy. But yeah, if you get a Nanoloop or LSDJ they have a manual and it should say how to do it with the program. But I don't know much... So don't take my word for it.

  • actually, youre the noob. gameboy is 4- bit. sorry to piss on your parade!

  • is the 2.2 better than the 1.3?

  • Nice, I like it.
