There are those I know would disagree, but I never thought Whoopi Goldberg was an ugly woman. She is not an out and out beauty, such as some, in fact there is very little about her features that one could relate to the common idea's of beauty. But I have always seen it there, even if I have never been able to place just where I am seeing it. I suppose that beauty really IS in the eye of the beholder. That side, She is an extremely versatile actress. I admire her.

@Eriol134 Kathy Najimi does say "what the hell" Earphones or not, that's what she says. Quite frankly I can't see what all the fuss is about. Hell IS mentioned in the bible. In our current day language it's considered a colloquialism not an expletive, by any dictionary standard. As George Carlin said - "It's the CONTEXT, not the language or the word."

@edie19591 You're probably right although I can't hear the 'll' at the end of the word (jeez, is my hearing going at such a tender age, lol). This is a movie so it doesn't really matter, but in Christian religions, for the most part, hell is considered a curse word in that context. It's like saying god's name, the bible says not to take his name in vain, but obviously it's not a sin to say god's name when praying or singing. So yes, it -is- all in context.~
