I bought the best of Chris Rea after seeing this ad. Quality song. As for the Probe, didn't the Steve Coogan character Gareth Cheeseman ruin the reputation of this car.
I had a ride in a 2.0 litre one a couple of years ago and the seat trim looked like it came from a Turkish Dolmus. Nasty! Nothing sporty about it at all. Surely a low point for Ford.
I LOVE mine, 148,000 miles, and it still runs like a new car. Sure there are a few minor things wrong with it, BUT...it still accellerates and handles and brakes like it has 48,000 miles on it...A VERY underrated car in my opinion.

My profile has a few more under favorites. I especially like the Car of the Year ad.

No this was the UK advert. Owned a couple of these, still a good looking car - especially the 24v version!

Is that an NZ ad? Or does the US have 0800 numbers?

The GT model has quite a bit of power; it's lots of fun.
The base and SE models, though... meh.
Still looks good. It's a shame they stopped making them.

I love my probe, shame about the huge number plate stuck on the front - spoilts the curvature.

Is it the actor John Hurt who provides the voiceover for this advert?

The 24valve Probe is a nice drive it really moves like a sports car but the 16valve Probe is very underpowered its just like driving a mondeo

I like it! Recall that on TV, too bad about the name 'probe' though "Hi want a ride in my new Ford"? "what is it?" "it's a probe" "er, I'll pass"
