I've seen Infernal affairs, and I think its an absolutely great movie, that's the film that really started the recent revival of Hong Kong's movie industry. But you have to give credit to Scorsese for giving it a superb American adoption. The Departed is utter classic that's up there with Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Taxi driver, how on earth could you label it rubbish?

Also the acting is very good. Nicholson was memerable.

it's kind of like the Godfather, but sort of empty. good story, amazing acting, but there is just something missing. The Godfather brought together everything a film is, Goodfellas also (Scorcese's best film). i agree, it was an awesome movie, and very high paced, and it is still on my top 5 movies of all time. but to a person in their 30s or older, there is nothing that stands out. I like it because it is sort of a modern Goodfellas, but I'm a youngster, and this is the best recent mob film
