  • como se llama esta pieza?

  • "I'm the guy doing his job. You must be the other guy." - EPIC

  • best line in the movie:

"Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe Fuck yourself!!"

  • @Samiayad Omg so true

  • is tabu motherfucker no bubu

    .

  • Honestly this is one of my favorite movies of all time and ive seen a lot of movies. Everytime I hear this soundtrack I get chills

  • What's the original name of this song?

  • The new figure/ground in media explored in The Departed is cell-phones/text-messaging. Someone should make a Scorcese drinking game based on the cell phone scenes.

  • this music justifies the story so well

  • I love you departed

    from saudi arabia

  • tabs?

  • YES! FINALLY! I found it.

  • ı love you deparded

    ı turkish

  • Very sentimental, creative and evocative reminds of the bad things that happen around the word..

  • wildcard13 you fuckin' rock! thanks for posting this amazing song!

  • I am sure WildCard13 would agree with me, that tabs for this piece of exceptional peice of music is.... Impossible to find :(

  • Tying my shoes just got 10x more epic while listening to this song.

  • VERY GOOD

  • where can i find a tab for this, can anyone help me out

  • Damn. I need to watch The Departed...again.

  • 1:01-1:04 awsome but the whole song is sooooooo great =)

  • @zcottX what a sad little faggot you are, those three seconds of the song suck dick, just like you

  • @nourali2 That really is a shame that you have no life and feel like insulting others because of what you feel like inside. I pity you, you sad, poor example of a human being.

  • love it

  • tab please

  • 3 guitars are playing?

  • what a brutal movie, one of my favorites

  • I generally don't like crime/cops action thrillers but this was one of the best movies of its genre to have come out of hollywood in recent times. But Asian crime movies are still better i think. Afterall, The Departed was based on an asian movie wasn't it? Infernal Affairs i think....

  • Asians suck, i'm pretty sure this movie was based on that fbi dude who went under cover with the mafia for four years, like 20 years ago or something like like that.

  • @MarkCavan2 actually, it's written in the movie's credits. "based on the motion picture Infelnal Affairs...." and yeah, asians suck. That must be why Hollywood keeps copying their plot lines. Lol.

  • does anyone know what the song is called at the end of the movie when the credits start rolling??

  • @c2theb33 It's sweet dreams by roy buchanan.

  • I'm gonna go have a smoke right now. You want a smoke? You don't smoke, do ya, right? What are ya, one of those fitness freaks, huh? go fuck your self.

  • I sometimes watch the beginning of the movie just to hear this song.

  • police are like moshrooms. Keep them shit, keep them dark^^

  • @pupskannake It's actually "My theory on Feds is that they're like mushrooms... you feed 'em shit and keep them in the dark" :)

  • yeah. sry i´m german, but this guy is really funny^^

  • @pupskannake Feed them shit and keep em in the dark

  • aha yeh wahlberg owned in this movie. Go fuck yourself. am tired form fucking your wife. hows your mother? i hear shes tired from fucking my father. awesome lol

  • My favorite line he does:

"Your fuckin' family's dug into the Southie projects like ticks. Three-decker men at best. You, however, grew up on the North Shore, huh? Well, la-di-fuckin'-da. You were kind of a double kid, I bet, right? Huh? One kid with your old man, one kid with your mother. You're upper-middle class during the weeks, then you're droppin' your "R"s and you're hangin' in the big, bad Southie projects with your daddy, the fuckin' donkey on the weekends. I got that right?"

  • ...[Billy does not answer]

"Yup. You have different accents? You did, didn't you? You little fuckin' snake. You were like different people."

  • yeh man! my other favourite line is :'' woah woah woah. lets say you have no idea and leave it that. zip. none. if you had an idea about what we do we would be no good at what we do. we would be cunts. you calling us cunts''?

  • does anyone know the bagpipe song played during costigan's funeral?

  • amazing film, amazing soundtrack

does anyone knows the real name of this song?

  • yeah i think the writer/guitar player of this song is named Howard Shore

  • fuLLBlOOdStuNNa you are a noob, you fuck

  • you mook

  • 1:07 that parts the best

  • your forgetting baldwin

  • yeah, Alec Baldwin was brilliant. but, i think that Jack was better than anyone, even Dicaprio. In order: Nicholson, Dicaprio, Baldwin, Wahlberg, Damon, Sheen, Anderson. the only problem is they were all great! so, it is hard to put them in order.

  • Wahlberg was the best in this.

  • wahlberg is a very talented actor he just needs to select better movies to play in like max payne that sucked

  • the real song is : The Dropkick Murphys I'm Shpping up to Boston

  • No, it's not. That is a different song by a different band, which is also on the soundtrack. This song is one of the many versions of Martin Shore's "The Departed Tango"

  • Damn it, I meant HOWARD Shore. :P

  • where can i find this music in real life

  • One of the best main themes for a movie, along with Requiem For A Dream

  • @WWAAK Obviously you don't like listening to soundtracks very much. Big big disagree

  • @CKDindustry : wow i totally forgot i wrote that comment, i actually MEANT to say best main themes OF THE PAST DECADE (not all time), i forgot to type that bit, so i'm inclined to agree with you. thank you for pointing that out :) god im embarrassed now :P

  • I've seen Infernal affairs, and I think its an absolutely great movie, that's the film that really started the recent revival of Hong Kong's movie industry. But you have to give credit to Scorsese for giving it a superb American adoption. The Departed is utter classic that's up there with Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Taxi driver, how on earth could you label it rubbish?

Also the acting is very good. Nicholson was memerable.

  • It's far from being rubbish, but it stands nowhere along Marty's best in my opinion.

Everything about this movie was awesome, but it was pure entertainment, a golden vase with nothing inside, no real THEMES, pure simple chase story.

  • You could say it was making a statement about how the police and criminal organizations are the same, but that might be reading too much into it. A very well made film is still a great accomplishment, though. Were there any themes in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly?

  • This is why I think the movie's extremely overrated.

Marty Scorsese has always been my favourite filmmaker, but you have to admit that movies such as the Aviator and this one stand as empty shells compared to Taxi Driver.

  • You're right. While I think he's still far above average, I'm afraid his best works are behind him.

  • that definitly is a strong theme, especially that the end of Jack's opening monolouge where he says "we're either cops or criminals in life, what i'm sayin is this, when you're staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, what's the difference?"

  • it's kind of like the Godfather, but sort of empty. good story, amazing acting, but there is just something missing. The Godfather brought together everything a film is, Goodfellas also (Scorcese's best film). i agree, it was an awesome movie, and very high paced, and it is still on my top 5 movies of all time. but to a person in their 30s or older, there is nothing that stands out. I like it because it is sort of a modern Goodfellas, but I'm a youngster, and this is the best recent mob film

  • I think the problem is that this is actually 3 movies in 1, as the series it is based off is called Infernal Affairs, from Hong Kong (which is better, but in different way) was done in 3 parts, but this was just done in one, meaning they had mash it all together, and its probably only the amazing acting in this film which is so good, it makes this lot less noticable, still doesn't stop it being good film in anyway, but it is a problem

  • YOU MEAN ITS THE BEST CRIME FILM OF THE 21st CENTURY C'MON EVEN TRY AN NAME A CRIME MOVIE THAT CAME OUT FROM 2000-2009 THAT EVEN COMES CLOSE TO THE DEPARTED MAYBE AMERICAN GANGSTER BUT IT WAS SLOPPILY DONE.!

  • @ImperatorTX I think people are just a little upset that he didn't thank the original creators of Infernal Affairs when he won the award. Perhaps that's politics though. I noticed that in recent remakes they want to keep it very quiet that it's a remake.

  • i guess you are trash

ps i have seen infernal affairs and i love it, but departed is a great remake, better than the original!

but i have to say that all the other remakes are shit (RING, Shutter, The Grudge...)

  • hahaha

  • hey does anyone have the tabs fpr this song ?

  • if this is the actual song then I might have the wrong version? lol

    I dunno lol

  • Fantastic song, like the movie...

  • savage song

  • Great..Mucho gracias

  • woah... i love it

  • i don't play the guitar but i kept this as my ringtone, if i gotta show off to my girl can i act like i can play this piece?

is it difficult....any chords i need to know?

  • not hard at all.. but u probably need to find some tabs :)

  • Its made from Howard Shore

  • Who made this song? some say Hans zimmer but i dont realy know , plz tell me..

  • Can someone plz tell me where i can find notes or tabs for this song, i so fell in love with it! AAH I WANT THE NOTES!/TABS!

  • sounds like it has a latin quality to it.

  • I was pissed when Dreamgirls didn't get the Best Picture Nomination, and that indy flimsy Little Miss Sunshine got an nomination.

I was on my feet applauding when the Departed Won!!

But to be honest, even if Dreamgirls got the nomination, it still cannot compare to the Departed

  • Cause dreamgirls sucked and little miss sunshine didn't?

  • Or cause the Oscars is racist...god knows.

    Let's compare:

Dreamgirls - A story of 3 girls trying to live a dream of being music sensations, and a guy who has plans of his own. It's theme is generally corruption in the music industry.

Little Miss Sunshine - A dysfunctional family trying to get this girl in a beauty pagent in california

Now tell me, did you at least seen BOTH of these movies??

  • Yes, I have, and how are the Oscars racist if they gave Jennifer Hudson for best supporting actress, even though she did not deserve it one bit. Dreamgirls was a terrible movie flat out.

  • Best Actor/Supporting actors has been prevalent among African Americans. But the Oscars never gave an African American film Best Picture *and a few other award categories*.I cannnot figure out how come Dreamgirls at least didn't get the nomination. Of course, either the Oscars are stupid or racist because of that. I understand the other nominations, but how the hell Little Miss Sunshine get a nomination???

  • OF course the Oscars are racist! I'm surprised nobody ever saw the part where they start waving swastikas and yelling "HEIL HITLER!"

    Dreamgirls couldn't have possibly sucked!

    just sayin....

What i hate is...If all black people ran 3 miles a day but never EVER ran 4, people would say "nobody ever gives them credit for running 4 miles".

  • There's film, and then there's quality film. I felt DreamGirls lacked much in the way of substance, and clearly the Academy agreed with me. I felt deep pleasure when the movie-musical with three songs nominated for Best Song lost to Al Gore's documentary.

  • The Academy never rewarded a African American Film, UH HELLO? Anyone else remember a little shocker win called Crash? And don't even get me started on Dreamgirls, if the Academy was racist they wouldn't have given it 8 nominations!

  • Why are you so mad about it anyway. The Departed was the best movie and nothing can change that. So there is no need to get angry about Dreamgirls. You know it's a good movie, that should be all you need.

  • dreamgirls fucking sucked

  • Oooh two films....wow.

  • this rocks.

  • It's called The Departed Tango.

  • Actually, it's not. The tracks are similar, but this one is called "Colin."

  • @WildCard13 pwned

  • i think this song plays in the credits...or am i wrong???

  • it's played through the entire movie, along with Shippin off to Boston by Dropkick murphy.

    TO FIND MY WOODEN LEG!!

  • When in the film does this play?

  • This specific version starts with Billy kicking open the door of the Indian guy's store after tuning up those Italian guys, and chiefly plays over the scene that encompasses Colin's dinner date.

  • @WildCard13 you keep calling me baboo

  • bester film der welt

    bester soundtrack der welt

    beste schauspieler

  • name of song need to know please.

  • WOW! THIS SONG IS AWESOME!! Thank you for posting this, and I also feel that after this movie that "fuck" had lost all its meaning because ofits constant use.

  • professional use of spanish guitar...

  • nice!

  • soz...irish

  • nice music, sounds kinda mexican

  • qualcuno mi può dire come si chiama il brano in sottofondo al film nella scena in cui dicaprio dice al capo della polizia che non riesce ad andare avanti nella missione?? mi sono innamorata di quel brano!! grazie, Camilla

  • This movie has "badass" shooting out of every scene!

The last 10 minutes are are MONSTRAWESOME!

  • i loved it! but i think after this movie the f word has lost all meaning unfortunatly :(

  • One of my favorite music scores ever!

  • i personally prefer the departed score, than the lotr, i know it sounds crazy but i just love the tango style music, don't get me wrong LOTR music is pure genious also.

  • this piece is called "COLIN"

  • I know. But I figured it would come up in more searches if I referred to it as this.

  • hipjoint, this piece is called "The Departed Tango" not Colin. There is not even a song titled 'colin' on the soundtrack.

  • no i think ure wrong mate, this piece is called 'Colin' track 5 from the score cd. The Departed Tango sound is more up tempo and has a latin style piece during the middle.

  • hipjoint, you are incorrect.

  • no my firend, you are.

you have got the soundtrack which features all the rock songs like "shiping up to boston" as track 7, right?

and the departed tango @ track 14?

well i've got both cd's, the rock soundtrack, and the Howard Shore Original Score cd.

    search Amazon or sumthin.

  • hipjoint, you are so wrong. "Colin"...Dude are you a jackass or what? Why the hell would they name this song after Colin Sullivan, if its only played when Billy Costigan is in the scene.

  • please dont't test me! i'm a DEPARTED FREAK, i've know everything there is to know about the movie. if u have got the Howard Shore CD, you'd notice that he gave each track a specific name to go with the film, for instance track 5 "Colin" starts playing when Matt Damon 'Colin' and Vera Farmiga are having dinner together, and it introduces the Colin Character properly, thats why it's called 'Colin'

  • hipjoint, dont test me! I know the departed better than you! The howard shore cd calls it "The departed Tango", just as every departed cd made does...

  • Hipjoint, I AM SO SORRY!!! You are very true! It is Colin, i had the tunes mixed up. I apologize for acting so smart and being so sure, when in reality you knew better. Sorry mate

  • PWND!

  • hipjouint, you are a bitch. I was being nice and you say this.. fuck you...pwnd my ass motherfucker

  • you deserve it man, you easily could've looked up the soundtrack on Amazon, after the first time i told u, and corrected ure self, but u didn't.

take this a lesson well learnt.

any way, lets be friends, i hate wars.

  • sure lets be friends.

i should have, but i thought i was right. so.... :-)

  • In the end your both fighting over a fucking movie..

    Retards.

  • LanceMoris, suck my dick you fucking flaming faggot. You dumb bitch! Why the fuck did you read our comments, you numb nutted faggot!
