  • This is gonna sound bad but are there any episodes where Patrick gets hurt

  • this scene is soo sad, I don't know wether Patrick is crying because he just killed someone or he just lost a valuble lead. I think it's a little of both

  • Prelude in C Major is such an elegant piece and I will never listen to it again without thinking about the Mentalist. A truly beautiful scene.

  • Jane - Always hungry. Classic example of the way to a man's heart! LMAO

  • Tyger Tyger burning bright in the forest of the night what immortal hand or eye can frame thy fearful symmetry. tyger (orange) hand(jane) eye(red john) and then fearful symmetry.

Red john is saying he is the night and jane is the tyger burning bright. red john is saying he has an eye on jane no matter where he goes.

  • an orange??

  • Prelude In C (from Book 1 of The Well-Tempered Clavier, Bwv 846)

Johann Sebastian Bach - It is on the new mentalist sound track coming out in Sept 2010 on Amazon.com.

  • Prelude In C (from Book 1 of The Well-Tempered Clavier, Bwv 846)

    Johann Sebastian Bach

  • that is so sad, poor Jane...

  • No, it's called "Ave Maria". :)

  • Such a moving scene and without any dialogue. A great ending to season 1.

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me what the melody is called, I´m inlove!

  • @941006ek I think it's called "Prelude de Bach" or something like that ;)

  • @941006ek actually its Ave Maria by bach

  • @941006ek " Für Elise"

  • Now i know why this sounds familiar its playing when they find hicks in season 2

  • It's red john's theme i believe

  • J'ai vraiment adoré la saison une mais j'attends avec impatience la deux cet acteur est nettement supérieur à toutes les grandes vedettes vues jusqu'ici il est attachant et en meme temps tellement drole I love him

  • The sherrif was red johns minion he knew a lot about red john but jane had to kill him. if you are keeping up with it now next weeks episode something big happens with red john i guess

  • heartbreaking

  • the best episode, and great final.

  • The Mentalist is such a good series. But, why is it that I can't find any place online to watch the episodes? I want to watch the ones that I missed, but ... I can't. T-T

  • Its prelude and fugue in C by bach

I love the mentalist so much, and i cried at the end of this episode xD

  • i think that jane see the family and question for him self "why this didn't happen with me?"

    unfair world...

  • Is the dead man Red John ? Im from germany and i dont konow this episode ..

  • No, an accompice.

  • no it's not Red John

  • The orange was significant because earlier in the episode Jane said he would do anything to catch Red John even if it resulted in his own death. The orange is significant because if he had died while attempting to catch Red John, he wouldnt be there enjoying one of the pleasures of life (i.e. - The Orange).

  • What's the name of this song?

I think it should be Bach but I don't know ...

    Help please!

  • Yes, it´s Bach :)

I´ve seen it yesterday on tv

    Johann Sebastian Bach - Prelude

  • It is JS BAch, but if it sounds familiar, it might be because it is the prelude that Gounod arranged for the lyrics of Ave Maria. Many people would recognise this as the piano "accompaniment" to Ave Maria.

  • they should have ended it with some kind of red john thing--like after he sniffs the orange it goes to that blind lady and she's doing something...or something w/ red john, to make for more of a cliffhanger

  • i love the music

  • what the hell is with the orange? wow smell that orange lol how strange

  • I thought that was weird too!

  • why, why did the first season have to end with Jane smelling an orange?

  • this is not episode one, but #23 last scene

  • Best scène I've ever seen...

  • i know :D
