I know that Jaedong can't always just sunken to be safe, but seeing as he didn't get a good scout in, he should've been concentrating on figuring out what Hwasin was doing, so he wouldn't be caught unprepared, as he basically was. If that means circling to stall, sure, do that. But do something. He just ran his lings back to base and didn't even see the marines coming that well, if at all.

What you are implying is a rich 3 hatch into late game savior - style

JD went for a 2 hatch and poured all his resources into his units. A sunk would be 50 + 75 + 50 worth of minerals he could have used on 6 lings

JD is great because he doesn't go standard. I wouldn't say he needed sunkens here, the ling surround just failed a bit (and Hwasin reacted very well). He would've done fine by planting max 1 colony and circling around with lings endlessly until mutas pop.

If JD would always do a sunken line, his zvt% would probably go down overall. Zerg can't adapt with sunkens without heavy extra resource costs like T/P, therefor comparing sunken and cannon for similar builds isn't fair.

Jaedong didn't build sunkens because he hadn't scouted the marines moving out until they were half way across the map. Because of the cross-positions, or perhaps just the map, his overlord wasn't in position to spot the marines moving out.

if im readin wut u wrote right, ur asking if u attack move of target attack a single unit. u click on a single unit to attack, never attack move. u right click on one unit, attack it, then fly away and repeat. if u attack move, the mutas will target random units

click singe unit because you can lower the enemy's troop count and lower the amount of damage that the enemy's troop can deal. So in that way, you kill 1 and you save yourself some health too.

jaedong's just not used to playing against medic marines these days :D so that early push messed him up. also he didn't need sunkens.jaedong could have killed that group of mm so easily. it was just a micro mistake, hwasin out-microed him.

if hwasin didn't micro his marines close to the wall and medics around his rines so that jaedongs lings couldn't completely surround his marines then he could have easily killed them
