Lipsynching has been around since long before this performance. Some people (like you, lol) seem to forget that some shows PREFER that the artist/band mimes along to the track. They are guaranteed a good vocal performance so to speak.
Besides, Tiffany isn't lip synching. She's singing along to the track.
It's pathetic for an "artist" to "mime along" to a pre-recorded track. I'm a singer, I've worked hard to be good. I perform in front of millions internationally. My band plays & I sing LIVE! If we fuck up, it's part of the "live" experience. If people want to hear my cd, all glossy & produced, they buy it! People like you (lol) don't get what a sacrilidge it is for "real" musicians when snot-nosed, label-owned kids are viewed as artists. They're just industry puppets, designed to make money.

Why is it pretentious to expect a performer to actually DO what they claim to do? Every musician I work with would rather eat their own shit than "pretend" to play on stage. That's why we work our asses off making good music. It's not crap anybody with Garage Band can create. I expect excellence from myself and the musicians I work with. You call that pretentious, but I don't apologize for giving a REAL performance to a large audience instead of a commercialized facade "performance from a can".
I liked the performance of this song on a telethon thing where NKOTB also performed. She had on a big hat and glasses. Does anyone have that performance?
I think is one of her best songs.Even it was and musical change for her. In the early 90's all the music was changing to this sound......shame it wasn'r a big hit.
See...just like Deborah Gibson, Tiffany tried to step out into the 90's...it is a shame that radio was cruel to her and that people didn't let her express the newer hip sounds that came out in 1990 :(
She doesn't pull off this sound (visually) but I love this song.

Yes, and I've done the TV show thing. Did it live - no tracks, no miming. By the way, Tiffany DOES sing live when she performs these days.
