yea i don't get it, there is nothing wrong with that bridge it looks great, big time waste of tax payers money to build a new bridge in a place like this sorry folks no offense and as for the creosote well apparently its not a problem on all our telephone poles and for a new walkway on the beach in surrey as of this year
Ha ha, this is funny. You'd think some clever marketer would figure a way to save this. PS I find it hard to believe this thing is still leeching creosote after thirty years...
@105tara I am sure you live in a much better place with less wackjobs. We are all really happy that you found a place that makes you happy! As for us wack jobs trying to save an historic site, we are better of with out people like yourself.
Riley: Do you know if anything has been formalized with regards to an open forum on this subject matter? I would be interested in coming up to Hope and attending it. I called the District office and the lady told me that no such event was currently being planned.
Furthermore.......Riley - I haven't met you in person however I have subscribed to your channel. I live in the lower mainland and your channel is just one resource that I use to make my decisions on how I spend my time away from work. Your initiative here with saving this local historic landmark appears to be balanced however I feel urban planning looks to be clouding the local government's ability to see the big picture. There are ways to integrate modern development and history.

Way to go Brian and Riley! I have driven over this bridge at least twice a day since I was 2 years old and definately do not want to see it go.

It's weird cause I live here, driven over that bridge almost everyday and not once have I seen this guy running.

@deputybrad You shouldnt miss it now with all the protests and the scottish pipper!

Maybe you need to pay more attention when you drive? I have seen him many times, but then again I'm a driver that pays attention to my surroundings.

Oh ok thanks, I guess I must just miss his "hours" during the day. What time is he "working" tomorrow maybe I can stop by and say "hi".
