Well they use a crap ton of potions 2 people can be kinda gay but pure win with this one if you go Blu x2 we did one nin sub one pld sub and it takes like 3 hi pot's each (which you probably wont use) One yag for the DD blue. Have the pld sub go in first and nin sub solo the furies off while other blue uses sheep song (might want to assist with sheep song)

ok my way is without 2houring its

sub job - bluemage

spells - cocoon mel skin

equipment - any with highest chr+ possible

food - royal tea - tuna if you want or tacos

meds - chr + potion - high potions +1*7-10

use all items cast spells run left charm 1st bat make it attack em both an get it dead as fast as. if needed recharm till dead. charm second bat attack coco recharm if nessiary till dead then fight last bat. this way saves alot of pointless efforts.

I came back to this BCNM afew days ago with a fellow bst and we were able to get the thunder spirit pact (100k) on the first fight. However, the next two fights were horrible. I was sporting +23 CHR with a signa and food, but I mischarmed 4 times each fight... it wasn't much better for my friend.

I've actually been able to solo this aswell. Haha, I got so lucky. I didn't have an M. signa and I ate a mithkabob. Still, I somehow managed to get the first charm and being that I'm an elvaan, I destroyed the fury that I was fighting with quite easily. I didn't get the drop, but I set the time record at the time.

If you're still doing this I'd suggest some equip changes to blink out so you don't get rooted when you issue Charm and Fight. Makes it a lot easier to kite when you mischarm and whatnot.

yeah, that's a really good idea. When I did this though, the job wasn't even in the game yet. Since it'd only require getting blu to level 10 it might be worth it.

Thmq122, when you enter this Burning Circle Notorious Monster battle, you are reduced to lvl 20...so you could be lvl 75 in AF2...it doesn't mean shit when you go in you will be stripped of all your armor that you can't wear at 20. Thats why the guy in this video is in lizard armor. it's lvl 20 appropriate. And usualy if you don't have 2 summons or 1 or 2 BST in your group set up...it's pretty hard.

ohh i know i did this fight once and we all died 2nd time i brought whm and my friend was a bst/whm and we had poitions and stuff and we still died but then i tried it again with 2 bsts and me as a whm and it worked

yeah it was rough. it's not my best fight by far. i kinda spammed hi-pots, but i didn't care. i did this fight once without 2hr solo..talk about stupid. it took forever and i had to recharm like 5 times. i didn't run out of time SOMEHOW.

Yes, you need to buy the retail box. It's very cheap though. About $20 and you get all three expansions. If you run Vista you need to download Playonline from their website and then install the game on the disc.

Yes, i've heard of Monster Signa and I don't think it will help as much as most people think. There's no reason for someone to buy that if they're high enough to use the Light Staff for charm when leveling. So buying it just for that is a waste. Also, a Hi-potion Belt is only 5k and that's 20 Hi-pots for only 5k.

Yeah, i've heard it's so much easier as bst/blu. When I did this regularly they did not have the BLU as a job. I'll have to try it. Usually you need way less than the Hi-pots I used. I'm sure you can get by with only using cure 1 if all charms landed.

I'm on lakshmi. This was back when they had some christmas sale at a gil seller website. They said that this caused the increase in prices. All those parents buying their kids gil for christmas I guess. The hauberk was once 16 milion too. Luckily the astral rings are down to 300k, the Hauberk about 500-600k I believe.

I agree sometimes. I have a love/hate thing with FFXI. I just make sure I don't overdo my playing time. BST is what made the game fun again for me. If it wasn't for BST I may have just quit a year ago. No more parties from 1-75 is pretty nice and you can go from 1-75 playing just a couple hours a day in less than 6 months. BST also doesn't require or demand the best gear there is, which means less farming. Another plus is all those Beastseals all to yourself.

drop rate on Astral Ring any good?

no, unfortunately the drop rate is pretty terrible. I've done this maybe 20 times now (stopped doing it) and have only gotten the ring 3 or 4 times. I got my first 3 when the rings were up to 6mil on my server somehow. Now they're dirt cheap.

One suggestion for those that want to try it..bring a Hi-Potion tank. You save a lot of money that way. Even managed to do it without 2hr. Most frustrating fight ever and I'm glad I didn't run out of time...

It's a little bit different than previous Final Fantasy games. In this game you target your enemy and press attack. It's not turn based. It's not quite as boring as it sounds at first though.

It's ok. I've done this maybe a dozen or more times now and have gotten a ring 3 times. This was back when an astral ring cost over 3 million gil! I can't believe it. I refuse to do this BCNM now, but it's still fun to try.
