In June 2008 the Obama camp and the liberal mass media whores were blaming the US oil companies for $4 per gallon of gasoline even though it was evident that the sharp increase of crude oil price by OPEC was the culprit.

Now with crude oil price down to about $50 per barrel due to low demand because of recession, the price of gasoline in the US also drops to the average of about $2 per gallon. However this time the Obama camp and the liberal mass media whores attribute the low gasoline price to low crude oil price only and the US oil companies suddenly play no part at all in the reduction in gasoline prices in their sight.

It's a good example of how truth can be distorted in dirty politics.

It's a 8.6 fold increase in crude oil price by the middle east. Yet the price of gasoline refined from crude oil in the US only increased from $1 in 1998 to $4 in 2008.

It's aim is to drag down the US economy, thus creating a sense of resentment against the ruling Republican party and fostering support for the Trojan horse Obama who is favored by people in the middle east. Until the USA can wean itself from foreign oil, the US economy and safety is at the mercy of oil producing countries who hate the US.

I watch a lot of Obama speeches. Every once in a while he says something dumb.I also watch a lot of McCain speeches. Once in a while he says something dumb. Sir Francis...you are wrong...on 3 occasions while touring the mid east with Joe Lieberman, McCain said that Al Qaeda was being trained in Iran. Lieberman finally had to correct him on camera. It was a serious gaff.

Maybe checking the facts would be helpful. McCain was actually correct, and Lieberman was wrong in "correcting" him. Iran training Al Qaeda HAS been widely reported in the news. He meant to say extremists, but his original statement was accurate too. Look at the 9-11 Commission Report, page 61 or The New York Sun 11/14/06, or USA Today 4/11/07, or The Guardian 5/22/07...

I think he honestly thought the death toll was high. More than 10 people die in most large cities every day. So it makes sense by his stating an entire town wiped out that he might think the death toll was much higher. Obviously just a careless mistake. Bush isn't perfect and neither is any other candidate running for office. And unfortunately every single one is a polititian.

Perhaps you're right on this. Obama could haved gotten the wrong information from his handlers and believed that 10,000 had died. He was using this as a big-deal point to his audience in order to criticize Bush and the War in Iraq. Whether he got it wrong or his campaign people fed it to him wrong, I'm still concerned by the enormity of the error and by the way he used this information.

There's no mechanism for electing a non-politician. The closest thing to this is to vote for candidates with short political careers. Mitt Romney fits this bill, and has terrific business experience. He was known as a turnaround expert for saving failing companies. He used this to advantage in saving the 2002 Olympics as well. Perhaps our country needs a little saving also?

Uh, Katrina has nothing to do with this. It was a hurricane. A HURRICANE! 2 days of warning that everyone should leave town.
