@giygasattack They shed a lot and without a Dyson Animal vacuum, I'd just give up. We have an all dirt backyard. We bought a fix-er-upper but money can't go everywhere at once. So we clean, clean, clean. It isn't all my Husky's fault, we also have a German Shepherd. So I tell them, that he (the Husky) is in charge of fuzz and she (the German Shepherd) is in charge of dirt.

They have so much love to give and play so well together that I don't mind the extra work so much except when it rains.

@giygasattack They are wonderful dogs with lots of personality. They have a lot of love to give. Who gives loves which means something? Not a robot, and they think for themselves. Mine talks a lot but then will be quiet for days, weeks, then you can't shut him up.

@UziDoesIt100 yeah, maybe this is true when they're puppies or if you do it with a dog that doesn't know you, and even then they only 'might' think that. dogs are similar to people in a way that there isn't a one true way that they think about things. each one is different. if a dog knows and trusts you, it gets used to the fact that you smiling at them doesn't usually mean you're going to start a fight.

I have two border collies, both are about full grown. One is 3 years old and the other is almost 2. I just got a Siberian husky puppy. The Female border collie is the alpha male, even to the male border collie. The puppy will be bigger than both but will be under both in the chain of command. Simplicity.

Huskies are known for putting their owners' hands in their mouths -- it's their way of bonding. My Luka does it all the time, especially when we go for our walks. They also love "talking" and are just sooooo smart! Love 'em!
