0:40 one of my favourite details of this song, and it's soo damn simple. Listen to that fourth string open air, the last note of that section. I don't know if you did it on purpose or not but you got the sound of a Sitar there. It's gorgeous to listen either way.
i barely know anything about a guitar, but i love watching and listening to some good acoustic guitar players like you. its art in motion. i play drums and wish played guitar now, because drums dont speak in the way an acoustic guitar can, its just simply to keep a beat :(
Only three or four of the finalists are on your level (and maybe better) as guitarists, but it's a shame that nobody gave the right importance to one of world's best acoustic guitarists instead of the everytime's same electric shredders
You're self-taught? What kind of instructional dvds, books did you use? What was your practice regime and how long each day? Who/What was your inspiration to keep playing?
@xoITheSlyFPSBossIox Thanks for tuning in! Glad you enjoyed it. I understand Persian but not so good with the speaking yet, trying to get back into it. This is a Taylor 814ce Limited Edition 2006.
@maneli yes 814ce except its not limited :-(. I saw your interview in Canada and was impressed by your talents. I was very curious if you studied to play guitar with an instructor? or you learned this style of playing on your own? based on the interview it seems you learned the guitar fairly quickly?
@gogamusic I am a self taught guitarist and always managed to pick up things fairly quickly. I had some years of violin experience which definitely helped plus growing up in a musical household was indirectly very helpful.
"Guitarists writing lyrics for their melody are those who can't make their guitar sings" and for those that disagree, just look how his guitar sings... withOUT any lyrics...
What amazes me is that not only do you use just the strings but you use EVERY part of the guitar. You are truely one of the most amazing artist I have ever had the pleasure of listening to, you will make it far.
@maneli Is your CD available in any store, as I am very wary of using credit information online even for paypal? Amazing, I'm glad to have been brought back here again, although watching your videos makes me want to quit playing guitar.
@maneli Thats awesome Maneli, I remember way back then, when someone commented something similar to what Guitarshred67 and you where like "I wish I was with candyrat, that would be a dream" and no look your next cd will be released by them. GOOD job cant wait to see you with all those great artists
I don't even understand what's going on with all that tapping nonsense! Really awesome btw, I don't want you thinking I did not like it, because I very much do, I just can't comprehend what is happening.... :)
maneli, I think you're the only extremely talented person that actually replies to my comments and others' comments... makes me want to cry, just like your beautiful music.. haha keep up the great work :P
When I hear you play I can feel the passion you have for music. I think any musician can agree that you can learn all the notes and chords in the world, but music itself comes from within you. Good song man!
Wow you are a really fantastic guitar player and your banding technics are awesome.
But for me, this hameron and sliding thing ruined the whole song. I know this might be really hard to play but for me it is just a progression of harmonic tones, without a lot of feeling. I LOVED the part from -.0 to -.50 but the rest wasn't really great.
