  • mafia II ~ salutes U

  • I wish they would release this for the iPad.

  • i played this game even before i knew how to speak english

  • What I always liked about that game that all gangsters seem to have the same suit and the two bosses have the same mother

  • @Matamoros212 Had to save space on the floppy disks! I always said that all the gangsters just happen to go to the same tailor. The identical Moms is a problem ;^)

  • This game seems more about story than actual gameplay.

  • Loved...LOVED THIS GAME.

  • Very interesting. Cinemaware did some amazing work in the mid to late 80's. Not just on the Amiga which was amazing itself. But I had several of the Cinemaware titles for the C64 and it was amazing what they squeezed out of that little 8 bit machine. :P

  • this was back when games were for higher iq nerds, nowadays any idiot can have an xbox and the games reflect that.

  • This game was great.

  • @elsquibbs Thanks!

  • Hey could you do another one? Maybe take a different route or show some possible deaths and stuff. I'd like to see some of the more rare scenes. I remember getting on the wrong side of Peepers and he shot me in a bathroom or something.

  • Yeah! This is one of my all time favourites! Haven't played it in 17-18 years though.

They should do a remake of this!

    Bring it to the 2010's!

I imagine a mix between GTA and old skool LucasArts games!

A huge 1930's Chicago universe to roam in.

That'll show that faggot The Godfather game who's the REAL king of Chicago!

    Pinky!

  • I played this several years ago on my amiga 1200

  • omg its been so long since i played this game

  • Not like New York! Ungreatfull biatch! lol

  • Cinemaware were so ahead of their time creating great games.

  • At the time CINEMAWARE where the best in terms of AMIGA graphics.

  • One of my favourite games ever for the Amiga

  • For some reason, all the voices I imagine sound like those guys from that Home Alone movie; Angels With Filthy Souls.

  • One of the first games I played. On my friend's father's Amiga 1000.

  • The Amiga version was far, far, FAR better looking than the Dos 4-color CGA. Sound is tons better, too. Still in some ways I like to think the DOS version was a good example of what you could do with only 4-colors.

  • OMG!!! This game rocked! I remember playing it! Thank YOU for posting this! This is really memory lane for me!

  • I loved this game, must have played this hundreds of times. Thanks Doug Sharp!

Whatever happened to Cinemaware? They had great games.

  • You're welcome.

They screwed their game developers and died.

  • Sorry to hear you guys were screwed. Again, thanks for a great game, loved it then and it holds a place in my gamer heart.

    Cheers!

  • aahh!! lol

  • E X C E L L E N T

  • lol @ the orgasmic death scream.

  • I wrote the thing and I'm still proud of it.

  • Doug Sharp?

  • The one and only.

  • Groovey! On behalf of all dudes/dudettes who grew up in the Amiga-age: Thanks for the cool game. :) Oh, you should really check out the amiga forum "English Amiga Board". Its the internets largets forum for Amiga nostalgics.

  • The graphics were great. I really liked the way you guys drew the maffia-italian faces.

The fastest way to finish the game was by using Lola. She was not only Callahan's girl but Santucci's girl as well. If you kept visiting her whenever you could you would find Santucci with her and you could whack em. Who needed the West and the Loop? Kill Santucci :)

    Greetings from 'Ndrangheta Calabria.

  • @dougsha You outta be. I wasn't born during the 80s, but I can tell that this is a pretty damn good game for the time it was released.

  • Thanks a bunch! People still have fond memories of The King.

  • @dougsha why didn't Burke win the election? How could they have done anything differently there?

  • @dougsha ARE YOU THE DOUG SHARP? YOU Made a kickass game. good game.

  • @AlienX99999 Thanks, Alien! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • @dougsha

Get interested in writing for modern Amigas.

  • @dougsha Thanks for the great experience. I still remember the scares from the sudden gunshot "live or die" scenes, craftily appearing after a seemingly innocuous message.

  • This vid brings back some fine memories. Cinemaware games ruled back then.

  • I'm sad, haven't known this then.

  • love the music in this game. Is it supposed to be some kind of jazz/blues-soundtrack?

  • I love that "You're the biggest man in town". Ego-boostin' for amiga-nerds like myself :)
