As much as i loved Tarja in Nightwish, she let the band and the fans down. Too many Tarja fan boys/girls out there. Get over the fact shes gone and just listen to her solo stuff if you miss her so much!

I'm sorry but my favorite song ruined this way, there is just no emotion, no lyrics interpretation, she can sing the song, but she can can't bring her the way tarja did! I love anette, but this just suck :(

for me the Anette version includes a lot more emotion, lyric interpretation and everything...but I also understand your point...

nevermind...we all love the song, we just prefer different versions, so let's not quarrel...whatever singer it is, it's always Nightwish, right? :)

Each to their own i guess, but i found from this performance, and hearing it live myself, she puts far more emotion and feeling into the song when compared to both studio and lie Tarja performances.

@jean15june I disagree here. Anette is not meant to finish the song, since it is performed as a medley. To people who don't like Anette's voice I strongly recommend to stop posting shit here and to focus on Tarja videos instead. If you don't like Anette, why bother? Tarja's dismissal was SIX YEARS AGO. She is now an awesome and successful solo artist. Can't we just accept that and stop quarrelling?

@jean15june Your comment is a bit confusing, so I am not sure what your actual question was, but as far as I know, the ending part of the song has never been performed live, neither in Tarja times...did you even notice that the melody changes to Walking in the Air? They played it as sort of a medley. Just in case that wasn't clear.

I have listened to this video a lot of times and I find it is one of the best memories of this awesome show and I feel that I know what I'm talking about

It's probably because many (not sure if it's the majority or minority or if it varies by genre) love the music for what it represents, in addition to the music itself, and takes that very personally and close to heart. Thus, they perceive the people who present the music in the same manner. =P

In dont like the dead boys poem NEITHER Ghost Love score, with Anette.
