@sicfuker25 i play thrash and pride myself on playing relatively challenging stuff but thats just not true lol anything can be difficult depending on who's writing it. and improv jazz and tech death are probably across the board harder to play
Holy fuck this takes me back to when I got my Speed Kills compilation cassette through the door when I was fourteen. I was never a fan of the high pitched vocals though. Fucking classic!!!!!!
I don't see any powermetal bands reaching that high, you would think the high pitch screamers these days would be on top of it but nothing can't beat this high pitch scream. Forbidden rocked this show. They had the best sound. Raven was pretty good:-)
I still have a knot on the top of my head from Craig's guitar headstock as he and I were headbanging together during this song...I felt no pain! Blondie's in Detroit 1989 opening for Exodus...who's got the time machine?
I have this on VHS and have not seen it in over 20 years, it still gives me chills watching this. One of the most under rated bands of that era. Skill beyond skill and riffs to make you want to choke a bitch.

I'm not sure if it's the audio or anything, but the bass drums and the bass make it sound really heavy to compliment the guitar parts, and then there's Russ' amazing voice and how he gets the crowd going. Fucking epic.
This takes us all back to a time when a metal band wasn't afraid to play more than 3 detuned chords, strap sex toys to their face, and they didn't think it was cool to buy low-end BC Rich guitars thinking they sound awsome through a Line-6.
Forbidden was insanely heavy. The first time that I hear "Through Eyes of Glass", I was just blown away. And even now...a couple of decades later, it is just as skull crushing!

I just checked your MySpace profile and listened to your demo 'Mirror of Death' - Excellent! It's got alot of early Kreator in there! The mid section in the title track was great! I'll send you a friends request, would like to keep track of how you get on. Wish you guys all the luck in the world and your drummers called PsychoGrinder - immense!!! Rock on brother!!! \m/

Thrash is making a comeback currently....look at bands like Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, Merciless Death and Fueled By Fire. They're all pretty young and have a large following.
Hell, even "thrash clothing" is making a comeback, the other day I saw a kid with stovepipe jeans, patch vest and reebok BB 4600's at the train station =)
I feel your pain on the girls part...a lot of my friends are into metal, even though it's not popular it's like a small community of kids...but theres absolute ZERO girls...

This was absolutely THE SHIT in 1990! The guitarists (Glen Alviadis(?) and Craig Locicero) just rip on this whole album, and Russ Anderson's high notes rule.Hard to find, out of print...
man I wished it was 1980 again! I hate this poser nu-metal,emo,gayfag scene! I am 16 years old and I love thrashmetal! why don't we get out guitars and make stuff like this again!! ALL HAIL!!!
Hell yeah...I'm 15 years old...hate emo, metalcore, scene, nu metal...love thrash metal and other types of TRUE metal as well...fortunatly in my area of New Jersey there is a new thrash scene starting to emerge...it's very progressive/technically oriented like Forbidden as well as Coroner, Dark Angel, Watchtower, Heathen, etc...hopefully we can overcome all the emo fags in my town. THRASH FOR LIFE!!
I hope it will emerge to a worldwide scene again! I'm already playing death/thrash metal so I hope I can get a job in a band. there is already hope! a friend of mine and his friend love death metal and they play drums and bass so...would be great shit to play with them
I'm chilean and I'm also pissed off about seeing those bloody emos and nu metal gay groups, fortunately there are many kick ass true metal bands which remind us metal is still alive even though exists that lot of shit called melodic genres, a simple justification to play gay music with stupid weeping lyrics for fag teenagers, hail true metal!
I have this on VHS STILL!.. It will never leave my collection. Granted I wish I had the software to port it over to my pc... lol
