She's the only serious challenger that Asada and Kim have. She's the best in North America. This was her first Canadian title. She's won six straight now. I hope she goes for seven straight. Only Constance Wilson-Samuel won seven straight and that was 75 years ago.

does anyone know whether she gets extra points for doing the 3F-3S so close together? It looks like it's definitely intended to be a combo of some sort, but I'm not aware enough of the code of points to know how that is marked.

Whatever it is marked as, it is a breathtaking sequence.

It is a sequence, but a sequence is calculated by taking the total of the jump's worth and subtract 20% from it. So she doesn't get extra points (you don't get extra points from a combo either, you just get the two jump's worth of points added together).

I really love this program of hers. It suits her so much better than her '06-'07 Don Juan program. She should really re-incorporate the 3t-3t back into her program. I wonder why she doesn't do it anymore?

I was just thinking as well... this is probably the best, most beautiful rendition of Firebird that I have seen. Many skaters have used this music (Miki Ando, Kurt Browning, Watson & Oppegard among others) but hers is probably the truest interpretation of the Firebird ballet. Wonderful.
