It's futile to get into historic debates about who the land originally belongs to. I firmly believe that the only way to solve the current crisis is a two state solution, and working from the current situation.

Originaly Israel and that whole area belonged to Jews and Christians. If Palestine says they should leave because it use to belong to them, then arabs in egypt, Palestine, Syria and others should pack up and leave and give it back to the jews and some christian groups, as well as the copts for egypt.Go israel

That is not quite where the debate stands today, the suggestions being aired today say that the Jewish state of Israel should be recognized by all parties within the borders of 1967, and the Palestinians should be given a state in the west bank and Gaza (borders of the time before the Israeli invasion of 1967))according to UN resolution 242 and international law.

I agree that it is is useless to argue over who were there first, although the Palestinians were there long before they became Muslims I won't say they were there before the Jews or vice versa. What one should focus on is who lives where now? And most Arabs have accepted that Israel exists although they won't countenance the state as long as the Palestinians are occupied.
