  • love this DFD song! dirty & sweet

  • A band with the bollocks to release a non-commercial song as a single. More ideas in this song alone than massive SHIT bands like You Me At Six could come up with in one album, not that they write the songs by themselves. Sorry DFD fans, talent will never be more relevant than appeal, hence the demise of bands like this, where people full of quality ideas who can play their instruments, with the balls to go against the mainstream, disappear.

  • 6 people will die alone, torsos of flesh upon the throne.

  • Is this the new Mr. Bungle song?

  • @CECRedGhost i'm tired of people comparing the two just because the both are ridiculously weird and awesome.

  • @CECRedGhost. You're extremely late to the party! A little history lesson for you, Mr. Bungle's active yrs were 1985-2000, they disbanded in 2004. DFD's active yrs were 1995-2007. They went on hiatus in 2007 and play annual reunion shows usually in Baltimore. Like one or both but STFU w/the compaisons. I enjoy both bands and I have all Bungle and DFD albums and neither band sounds like the other. .

  • lol greg combs became a teacher at my old high school

  • Mr. Bungle meets Marilyn Manson

  • @righteousrafael not even

  • dfd is or was incredible.

  • i love dfd and mr bungle.. but dfd is better ^_^

  • In a 2001 Dog Fasion Disco article in Kerrang! magazine, Todd Smith was quoted saying "When people tell us we're original, we don't mention Mr. Bungle." For Years, Todd Smith has liberally "borrowed" numerous elements of Mike Patton's repretoire. So What? Although I think Patton& his bands are quite superior to Smith's, I think Todd is an amazing composer & vocalist in his own right & his various album's(all of which I own) are genius & should be regarded as such. Take that, @ripbtd! (kidding)

  • The music isn't bad, but god damn this video is retarded. It's like watching a shitty Rob Zombie movie

  • Todd has the best music videos and songs and i wish i knew about these guys when they were still together

  • Poor management/promoting/booking and zero, zilch, nada financial support from their 3 labels, Spitfire, Artemis and Rotten Records led to the bands demise. Todd and Jason soldier on w/their other projects but DFD was, is and will always be he crown jewel. Brian White, Jeff Siegel and John Ensminger work f/t times but I prefer to consider the band as being on hiatus rather than disbanded and If the right touring opportunity were to present itself, I think the band would tour again. .

  • @thenegativefcknone run into people like you all the time the"ive been listening to them since i was 2" people who cares, i have been listening to them for years as well, think tool wrote a song about you, anyway good to see they have a fan base they ARE very underated and genuis no one needs YOUR approval to say or listen to what they want.

  • lol i just heard a censore ffs. they censored word fuck ffs

  • Very easy to masturbate to !

  • DFD toiled in relative obscurity 1996-2007 and are the Greatest band ever! They produced 7 studio albums, 1 live album, 2 DVD;s, DOTD EP and scored Dominion The Exorcist. . They also toured w/SOAD, Slayer, KSE, Disturbed. MSI, Lacuna Coil, ATR, NF, MH, Prong to mention a few. SOAD and Lacuna Coil say that DFD was the most talented band they ever toured with. A DVD and album will be coming out date TBD for their 24 and 25 Jun 2011 shows in Baltimore.

  • @ripbtd thx for the info

  • One of the biggest bands ever existed! I found them some days ago and I got tottaly addicted to them.

This is REAL complex music, you metalheads and hardcore fans should listen to them, it's a pity they're on hiatus.

  • @KingCrimson776. Ur one angry dude! Life's too short, and dfdrox is correct, DFD is the most talented band most people never heard of. U sound like a mid 30's metalhead, Pantera, Slayer kind of guy, good for u, I prefer DFD who destroys Incubus and Bungle. Listen to the DFD masterpiece Adultery in it's entirety and if you still think DFD are wannabees. then you have zero, zilch, nada taste in music of any kind.then

  • ug, more Primus/Mr. Bungle wannabe shit

  • @KingCrimson776 Catch up, Your Highness. The Bungle comparison is now almost fifteen years old. And if you had even an inkling of knowledge regarding this band, you would know that the myriad of influences which affected this band are too numerous to list here. So go easy on the "shit" part and do a little more digging into their catalogue. That is, unless you're a "prog elitist" and only listen to bands that are too cool for school.

DFD were never "wannabe" anything. Here endeth the lesson.

  • @dfdrox Yes, they are wannabes. You idiots think anything that sounds "quirky" is original. I bet you like Buckethead and Devin Townsend too. Any pseudo-musical clown can claim a "myriad of influences", it doesn't mean they know what the fuck they are doing.

Now go flounder in your music theory class and form another worthless "prog"metal band.

  • @KingCrimson776 Settle down, there. No need to get nasty. But it would appear I have touched a nerve. Look, in the end, I couldn't care less what your opinion is of Dog Fashion Disco. They worked extremely hard, released seven full-length albums and two DVDs, and toured for years with little to no support from their record labels. To this day, they remain relevant and occupy their own little niche in the pantheon of musical history. If you don't like it, then fuck off and don't listen to it.

  • @dfdrox Settle down yourself, I haven't said anything nasty. Apparently I touched a nerve seeing as you felt the need to type two butthurt, condescending paragraphs.

Also, only pseudo-intellectuals use the term "endeth".

  • @KingCrimson776 Your pseudo-rantings be damned. Pseudo-bloggers on Youtube - such as yourself - like to make their pseudo-opinions known without the benefit of being acquainted with the facts. Lest we forget, the center of this pseudo-discussion remains Dog Fashion Disco. Let's not get distracted. They have never, ever intended to emulate anyone. By the way, what sort of pseudo-cherubic intellect uses the term "butthurt"?

Here endeth another pseudo-lesson; like casting pearl before swine.

  • @dfdrox What "facts"? It doesn't matter if they never "intended" to emulate anyone, they blatantly have.

"Butthurt" is simply the right term for you. I make a comment on this band, you type two (now three) grandiloquent paragraphs in response because you are obviously offended. If anything shows a "cherubic" intellect, it's your inane attempt at mockery of the perfectly viable term "pseudo".

  • @KingCrimson776 The facts to which I am referring comprise what could be considered even a passing knowledge of the band and its members. You provided your opinion - which does not offend me - and I provided a rebuttal. Despite your protestations, my characterization is correct. They never intended to emulate anyone or anything. In order to emulate, one must exhibit an intention to imitate. Dog Fashion Disco did not make any attempts to imitate anyone, or anything. Maybe they pseudo-imitated.

  • @dfdrox You did not provide a rebuttal, you just claimed the Bungle comparison was "15 years old", which is irrelevant. Perhaps they subconsciously emulated those guys, or even if you don't want to use the term "emulate", they are still blatantly derivative of Bungle's style. These guys weren't living under a rock, they were aware of Bungle's music. It's the same circusy-sounding, pseudo-eclectic (yes, *pseudo*, look the term up as you seem to need to) metal sound, but far less inventive.

  • @KingCrimson776 Gee whiz, King. "Perhaps they subconsciously emulated those guys..." Are you listening to yourself? Now you're speculating about their collective mental subconscious during the songwriting process? Wow. I didn't realize I was dealing with a board-certified clinical psychologist. Look, I stipulate the fact that Bungle was an obvious influence on their style; the band admits as much. But to assume, as you do, that they are in any way emulating Bungle, then you're just plain wrong.

  • @dfdrox By "subconscious emulation" I just mean to suggest that while they didn't necessarily make the decision to sound like Bungle, they still knicked their style naturally. Unexpect is a more recent example of this sound and I don't think there's really much room to expand on what Bungle has already done.

But whatever, I initially just stated my dislike for this that I perceived to be too "pseudo"-Bungley, and then you came and tried to claim they were somehow objectively broader than that.

  • @KingCrimson776 And now we've stumbled upon "knicked"? As in stole? Are you serious? And how, exactly, does one "naturally" knick something?

Dog Fashion Disco never "knicked" anything. If you would just take a few minutes and listen to more of what they do, you may realize the colossal error you continue to espouse. And in no way is DFD attempting to "expand on what Bungle has already done." DFD forged their own path, their way.

And don't "whatever" me, boy. DFD is extremely broad, period.

  • @dfdrox "Knick" as in play music that is too close in proximity to what Bungle played, but less diverse. "Naturally" as in without giving it much thought. I’m sure Tori Amos did things “her way”, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a Kate Bush rip.

I have heard more by them, and this music is not broad. They are superficially "eclectic", with bits and pieces of various genres draped about like Halloween make-up. I'm not trying to get you to not like it though.

Hey, they covered “Grease”, not bad.

  • i need to know what year is that and in what album fuckin please?

  • i like how melodic this band is at the same time as it is so chaotic

  • Those two chicks in the tub, they're hot.

  • I hope I see all of you at the DFD reunion in Baltimore this weekend :)

  • Is there something wrong with me if this gave me a boner?

  • lol my chemistry and physics teacher is gregory combs.

  • I always check my headphone connector at 3:50

  • Honestly I think this is better than mr. bungle.

  • Love DFD

  • mushroomhead on acid. i dig.

  • @dance2theradio.ROFLMAO! How's ur band doin douchebag? Has it been around for 11 yrs? Has it toured w/SOAD, MSI, Prong, Disturbed, Lacuna Coil, Slayer, KSE, NF, MH etc....? Of course you don't have a band and you're just an irritating troll who has no life and likes to stir shit up w/the Bungle comments. DFD > Bungle by a wide margin.

  • @ripbtd dude i dont even pay attention to ppl that try to throw mr bungle into the mix with DFD.....mike patton and todd smith are both great artist in their own right....i myself prefer todd smith's work over patton but to compare and say one is better is an opinion so dont pay no mind to trolls bro

  • Todd Smith has got to be the best Voacalist of this generation.

  • A few people were turned on by the pregnant hooker and in a passive aggressive display hit the dislike button.

  • Just a Mr. Bungle cheap copy :)

  • @dance2theradio

yup but atleast they tried xD

  • DFD REUNION JUNE 24TH AND 25TH IN BALTIMORE!

  • I'm so glad I got to see them live 4 times in Baltimore. They broke up around the same time I left the area for good. They were amazing. Saw them through all theyre little member changes. I remember screaming WENDY!!! at the bass player the last show I saw. We were waiting outside of the Rechter Theatre and the whole line of people screamed it after me. I got tackled by security guards for moshing like a jerk. Fun times.

  • I have no idea why Father Ted is a promoted video next to this, or why Todd's hair reminds me of Jedward, I think it's still an amazingly awesome song from one of the greatest bands ever. <3

  • 1 of the greatest bands u dont know

  • @muffsnatchmegee

I say all the time... "Do you know what it's like when nobody you know has heard of your favorite band, but you?"

I know ONE person other than myself that likes this band (my friend Mike that showed me them), and a few that dabble in it because I showed them some a couple of songs. But NOBODY that loves Todd as much as I do.

  • @vbaalberith Todd is, without a doubt, one of my favorite vocalists of all time.

  • strangest band ever... this is what makes them awesome

  • diffrent bant... very diffrent

  • i went to the reunion show in Baltimore and jasan and todd were talking about how since unlike most bands they don't have problms with each other they do reunion shows often...they don't just do it to raise money for PDC they do it cus they make good music together....they might do more reunion shows in the future

  • dog fashion disco is what nothingface wants to sound like

  • Saw Dog Fashion Disco, Polkadot Cadaver, and Kives Out at the Ottobar last month.

I've been to many concerts. Big names: Meshuggah, Nile, Down, etc.

This DFD show... was the BEST concert, I've ever been to.

    EVER.

    EVER.

    It still gives me chills.

  • @RexFromDefgab That show was the fucking shit. I loved it.

  • @RexFromDefgab sorry to rain on your perade but dfd has been disbanded since i think 07 or 08 and they seperated to knives out and polka dot cadaver im pretty sure

  • @wanderingswordsmen They disbanded immediately after releasing Adultery, yes. However to raise money for a Polkadot Cadaver tour, they held a one-time reunion show in Baltimore recently, where all three bands played.

You'd know this if you were cooler.

  • @wanderingswordsmen Yeah word, lol. I was at that show as well. It was sick. Too bad ya' missed it ;)

  • @RexFromDefgab it was pretty awesome, if only i hadn't locked myself out of my van

  • freakshow

  • Most under rated band in the history of REAL music!!!!! just heard of them about a month ago..........and im so addicted to them.........i feel like I missed out.....fucking love this band......pure genius

  • @zombiesnatcher82 June 24th and 25th, man. Two-day reunion show in Baltimore!

  • @TheNegativeFcknOne Apologies. I missed a definite article in your post.

  • @TheNegativeFcknOne

grow up kid... they rly are underrated...

  • @zombiesnatcher82 totally agree.

  • @macintirekyler you are a narrow minded dolt. Go listen to the Jonas Bros. or some other cookie cutter BS band. DFD was the best band ever. Post your worthless drivel elsewhere.

  • i hate this acid trippin shit!

  • cant wait 4 Todds new band Knives Out!

  • I agree with octopusrave. I'm sure Mike Patton is a genius, but DFD and Polkadot Cadaver do things that he never did. They are certainly highly influenced by Patton, but they have made something unique out of the borrowed components. Perhaps they aren't original, but they aren't a carbon copy, either.

  • Hittin' up the Ottobar in a week for DFD, comin' out from BROOKLYN.

  • @ambientness wish you could! they're amazing live!! i can't wait, only 11 days until the show!

  • ''.. The Cure For Clinical Depression is a Lobotomy ..'' One of my favorite DFD lyrics \m/

  • @DoubleNullVoid00 I love Dog Fashion disco one of my favorite lyrics is " Don't fall asleep or we'll mutilate your genitals"

  • I find myself strangely aroused, and looking forward to getting Bright Future.

  • DFD reunion april 17th at the ottobar in baltimore!!!!!!

  • @xXTaraMascaraXx I wish I could come from FARGO soooooooo badly!

  • @xXTaraMascaraXx

    IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • @RaeJKelley913 I completely agree. Polkadot Cadaver and Knives out are coming to Cleveland in October :) I can't wait.

  • lol I remember downloading this audio file on aol2.0 way back. Still a great band!!

  • And if you don't think Slayer is influenced by punk then listen to Disciple.

  • I like alot of band that were influencd mr. bungle but i never got into mr. bungle.

    weird i think

  • @anti1999 Not weird at all actually. I don't like listening to punk but I like a lot of punk influenced bands. ie: Slayer.

  • @anti1999

Nah man im pretty much the same way. I like some of mr bungle songs but like you i listen to alot of bands influencd by him.

  • These guys and lollipop lust kill should reform and hit a tour together...EARGASMS! Never would happen but it doesnt hurt to dream.

  • pretty sure they listened to Mr Bungle - Quote Unquote and thought yep, we gonna pinch this formula

  • There is a Bungle influence here, but Faith No More is way bigger in their sound. I guess you can just say that they like alot of Mike Patton! lol

  • This band puts mr. bungle to shame.. in my opinion. ^^

  • This band has yet to be "sold out" bubble gum Barbie bullshit they play on the radio. Awesome bleedin video aswel. At first i thought it was made by a fan with a crappy video phone but after watching it, kicked my arse.

  • Wow do people really not know that this band is broken up...

  • Absolutely loved this band! This and "The Hitchhiker" are my two favorite DFD songs

  • This shit's heavy!!

  • Comment removed

  • gooood!!!

  • there are other bands besides patton that use mutiple styles

  • The Residents, You will never find two songs by them that sound alike.

  • sick, unknown and retarded!!!

    and unknown is underestimated

    love the band

  • its such a sick, twisted, wierd band...

    i love it. :)

  • i just searched and watched a couple of videos by the residents, their videos are cool and strange but they are completely without talent, being strange isnt enough to make good music

  • Sounds somewhere between Mr. Bungle and Pain Of Salvation to me.

  • i got this album "anarchist of of good taste" when it first came out, i guess its out of print now

  • Shouldn't be cause I bought it like 2 months ago.

  • nope you can still get them its just the frist 3 in orignal copys are not made. How ever the 2 and 3 are relese

  • in my opinion one of the best bands and most fun to see live. too bad they broke up.

  • lol leasbians are hot

  • okay, sick of hearing "ohmigawd Bungle is so much better guize!" (fun typing is fun)

I've heard and like both but prefer these guys. I don't think they sound very similar, honestly. :/

Anyway. I really like this one. The lounge-background elements with the heavier stuff over it is really neat.

  • Ha! my chem teacher was in this band, hes the bass guitar player :D

    hes pretty rad

  • ..after reading that and watching breaking bad, it all makes a lot more sense to me now..

  • Haha what make u say that?

  • oh come one. could you keep away from

doing some home brewn "medication" if

    you knew how too?

  • Your chem teacher is Steve Mears? How could that be? He joined the Navy and is working aboard nuclear submarines.

  • No not Steve Mears, Greg Combs.

  • my teacher too! haha

  • These guys are good in their own right... listen to their other stuff! you'll lovem

  • OK. I could tolerate System of a down for Maybe a full album worth of listening (but it's a hard listen)... The only shit i can listen to is stimulating stuff like this..

  • Eh, try Genghis Tron, Tool, melt Banan, Sikt, Earthtone 9, Horse the Band.. Live a little, time to update the bandlist a bit.

  • Todd Christ!

  • Or is it Jesus Smith? Either way you only clap once.

  • Maybe he's just Jesus Christ? That would be a trip.

  • ITS CHRIST SMITH TODD JESUS get it right guys!!!!

  • @awesomeguy45 satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan satan

  • @Asrakorn i thought I might seriously go insane when I first heard that last track, too bad it didn't happen.

  • @decaymon i love that song in polkadot cadaver(sole survivor)... at first when i saw that the song was at least 32 minutes long i figured it would be good for a road trip. i listned to it for a little bit and kinda dozed off.. it was quiet for a couple of minutes then i about pissed myself when I heard "satan, satan, satan, satan.."

  • @awesomeguy45 so Mike Patton is GOD...

  • Goddamn I loved this Band.

  • hey whats with the -6 poor comments!

i like both just as much but to be honest i heard of bungle 1st

  • one of the best bands from bodymore murderland

  • they are diferent man, anyone who compares them hasn´t analized them enough

  • fair enough dude, i should probably give them a better listen before i really judge. check out estradasphere if you allready havent, another great band with a similar sound. peace

  • LOL @ "analized"

  • They're both good. Similar at times, but not always. Why can't we enjoy both?

  • this songs so old but its still good

  • Old School is always the best!

  • this band is 1996, if that's what you call old school you are funckin' nuts or maybe you are 8 years old LOL!!!

  • I love this band!

This song is the version from Anarchists of Good Taste though, I like the one on The Embryo's In Bloom better.

  • thank fuck! i just heard of these guys from my little bro. music has been such shit for so long. thanks

  • dog fashion disco is one of the greatest bands ever!!!

  • your god damn right they are :)
