When you complete chapter 6 you unlock Lu Bu.
You unlock Diao Chan when you complete the 5* Hu Lao Gate mission.

I think we can somehow jump onto the top of the phoenix and makes it easier to be hit.
Actually we usually dont pursue Lu Bu, he is the guy how follows us around with his super power -_-|||

This stage was sorta hard, the phoenix flys pretty high so you need double jump
