This car does have a bit of history. the skyline, as he said, was pretty cool. and this cars predecessors were skylines.so even though nissan didn't call this a skyline (since 2002), the public can still call it a skyline. its predecessors were in a couple of Fast and Furious movies.

I saw a boss mustang go for $55k with all the goodies. Shelby gt500 for $68k. Still lower than $90k but looking at the quality of engineering features and what not awd comp info technology another $20k wont get you all that in a stang. Dont get me wrong love american muscle just hate it when they look down at import tuners. Yes tuner cars dont call them rice burners or any other racist term. A zr1 would give this car a run but it costs more too. Hmm

It's heavy because of too much technology packed into it, it's ugly because it was designed with only air flow in mind, and it has a queer video game interior to showcase "infotainment" technology. This car is artificial and pretentious. An AUTOMATIC transmission?! What a joke. There is no soul. No purity of the driving experience. It's a computer with wheels. It even sounds artificial. @drivinivankatz pretty sure that @bmwlover0809 and @tintprotector nailed it on the head, that you'd have no idea how to engage the launch control and actually achieve the sub-3 second 0-60 launch on gtr. also, it's impossible for you to of obtained the 190+ top speed since the gtr doesn't unlock the speed limiter until the gps recognizes that you're on a race track

@bmwlover and @tintprotector The official US Specs for the 2012 GTR are196 mph, and 2.8 to 60. A 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds is also reported by reliable sources all over the net. Of course I know how to activate launch control, but as I've already said there are plenty of launch control videos already on YouTube, my reviews give a real and entertaining perspective on what it is like to drive each car that I am reviewing. I'm not out to break any laws or damage my test cars.

I disagree with you on that point about the GTR besting the Ferrari's and Porsche's with technology instead of brand name. The GTR has something that others don't, the nickname of Godzilla. And when you drive a GTR, everyone knows what a GTR is and what it looks like haha. But nice review.

Cool video. I love the GTR and what they did with it for 2012 was fantastic. Just a word of advice to the comment about a "suped up Mustang". You'd be surprised what those new GT500 can do. And you'll be more surprised when a old Notch pulls up with a 392 stroked Windsor. You'll quickly get an education into the phrase always someone faster. That's words of advice coming from a GM guy. Hate Mustangs but gotta give respect where respect is due and Mustang owners are a sick bunch with the wrench.

the first 4 pages on the function screen are CUSTOMIZABLE. You can have up to 8 things visible there... AFR/G's/Boost/temps etc... And those seats arent that great... I have the full leather recaro's and they are MUCH MUCH better than those... The black edition has the recaro's and its the way to go :))

The quality of this video picture is first rate. I clicked on this vid not expecting to be all that impressed. I was so wrong. It's an awesome vehicle. It just seems to say, "Respect my authoritaaaaay!" while going down the road. Nissan did a great job. The only negative in my opinion is the exterior look. But as you say, it probably grows on you. Excellent review !
