OMG I've seen Life on Mars before and I didn't even realize it until now! OMG! I can't believe I passed over John Simm with barely a glance! I loved the show when it first started! I must find it! D:<
@Umikosuzuhara why is it so bad? just asking, not that i wanna watch it cuz i absolutely loved the original one... and don't want to ruin that memory XD.....did they change something in the script in the US one?
John Simm played Sam Tyler... Son of Rose Tyler... Rose Tyler was Dr. Who's companion... and Dr. Who's archnemesis is The Master who is played by John Simms.... trippy
John Simm is my favorite actor, at the moment. I've really enjoyed everything I've seen him in, he's a musicians, and he seems like a really nice guy. Plus he's absolutely adorable.
I would've NEVER recognized him as Sam Tyler as I saw him as The Master first. Awesome actor. I really felt for Sam Tyler and went, "Wow, he's nuts!" when he was The Master. He looks shy here, though!
And he's really nice-looking in his own way. It's nice to see that someone doesn't look airbrushed, unlike celebrities in America.
@Felicity1247 I absolutely agree! In Life on Mars, he was kind of sympathic and kind, but as the Master, he was so evil that I had to look at him a long time and then I realize whoah, he's "Sam Tyler!" :'D

they should so get John to play the 12th Doctor, seriously! I know that might sound silly because he's played the Master but come on, nothing is impossible when it comes to this show!
@ConnorG56 ........really? So, having the 10th Doctor go from the cool and geeky hipster to literally act like a whiny, brooding, Rose-loving crybaby that "didnt want to go", thats fine. But you call Matt Smith's Doctor an Emo because of his hair?
@sandmanzcommin08 actually no it was nyken933 that said that, but in my opinion Matt Smiths doctor is trying too hard to live up to David Tennant, who is a good actor.
@ConnorG56 There both good actors, but he's not trying to be David Tennant. Thats like saying Tennant was being to much like Eccelson when he starts acting like a fucking emo. IF anything, Matt Smith is kinda like the 2nd Doctor Patrick Troughton which he has stated that his portrayal was based on Tomb of The Cybermen. Tennant was the cool nerdy type of funny, but Smith's brand of comedy is more around the lines of an eccentric man-child.
"... in 'Munchester'..." I'm definetely in love with the way he talks :-) John Simm's a sexie-sweetie-cutie-beautie-neatie-heartie-smartie-tartie-skinnie... (fill in whatever you like). Great actor, anyway.

I have met him and he's an absolute top bloke. Quiet as a mouse mind. He is by his own admission incredibly shy. He has plenty of time for real fans but hates with a passion "ebay hawkers" i.e. people who think he is a cash machine. Apparently someone turned up one night with about 20 LOM posters to sign and he rightly told them where to go.
Hes a top kid good taste in music, did you see The Lakes,he was good, hope he starts to get the respect I met him at a primal scream gig,hes a shy lad yet good sence of humor he asked me whwre i got me jacket from,i said me dad got it in 1973,he started laughing
He was born the same year as me!! 1970! I never had a Chopper or a Space Hopper either but I do remember 8 tracks in cars (like in that Cortina), in fact I have a 1970's mini which I would love to find an 8 track player for.
I heard him being interviewed on Radio 2 the other day, he sounds like a really down to earth guy and quite shy. I think that's why he does that gulping thing. He isn't really comfortable with the whole showbiz thing.
Also, can anyone look at those dark eyes and that smile now without thinking "evil.. master!".
I love Life on Mars, its great. And John Simm was brillient in Doctor Who. My step-dad met him about 10 years ago in Leeds (where Simm is from), back before he was famous.

He is an amazing actor. His character in Life on Mars was the best casting in British TV for ages. And he's from Leeds same as me. And he's gorgeous

He is John Simm? Duh? Did you even see the video?
