I'd just say you need to slow it down and practice it a bit more to get all the notes really singing comfortably.

I agree. He was playing a bit fast. I think a lot of people do this on Autumn Leaves, and I think it is not in the spirit of the tune; "Those Autumn leaves, drift by my window..." it is a song of a person in heartache after their lover has gone.

I always play it as a ballad. There are plenty of other heads with the same chord progression to rip it up on.
