Well,I guess it was not the game but the gameplay =P Really,all the fanwork around makes you like the characters ten times more.

You mean the program I used to compose this? It's called FL Studio. It's not free though but easily torrented. Next is I used Edirol HQ Orchestra, a plug in for FL Studio. Again, its not free but also easily torrented.

Thanks for the re-upload, the music is really well-made and goes a lot better without lyrics since Yume Nikki is meant to be an open-ended and subjective experience.

That is also a really nice picture, I'd like to know where you got it(as well as the one in the original video).
