@goodtimegwyn - That's because all of the presets shown in this video were created by me. Since I'm using the Pro version of the program, I have access to the sticker creator panel, and the variations panel, which allow for the creation of new sticker sprays. A few of them were included with the program once it came out of beta testing, but for the most part, many of these stickers sprays have not been made public. Many other sprays have been offered at the ArtRage forums, free.
@someonesane oh well, I have artrage 3 but would love to be able to do all that stuff. maybe I will have a go at creating some, sounds difficult though. Thanks for replying.
@goodtimegwyn - It's not to bad. Once you know what does what, it's really a pretty simple process. I saw that you've already seen my tutorial for creating a sticker sheet. If you're looking for some more help, you can find a lot information on it at the ArtRage forums. I post there, as Someonesane, as well.
the amount of work you did to make these all these brushes is phenomenal. thanks for all the work you put in. many of these I find to be just genial... brilliant. favorites are the gift boxes and Christmas decorations, and the barb wire and the flaming comet, splats... oh the list just goes on and on. you are the spiderman of sticker creation! : )
@gzairborne - Hi Gzairborne. Thanks for the kind words :)
I'm looking into making these stickers, and some new ones not shown, available for people to use soon. Somethings come up which has me waiting at the moment. Unfortunately I can't say more then that, just yet. See you on the forums. :)
@wolffirepaladin5 - Everything you're seeing in this video is a single tool, called the Sticker Spray, which is only available to user of ArtRage Studio. Only users of ArtRage Studio PRO may actually create their own stickers and presets for it though, so be sure to go PRO if you're planning on that. You can upgrade from ArtRage 2, which cuts the cost of buying the full program, but I'm not sure by how much. The full details can be found at Ambient Designs website. The links in my description
@wolffirepaladin5 Well, if you're doing the upgrade, you'd only be paying the difference (so you'd be saving like $25 or so). But yeah, I think it's well worth the price. There are tons of new and useful features in ARS Pro, like the Selection, Ink Pen, Fill, Gloop, transparency lock, and watercolor tools. You can assign your own shortcut keys, too. Oh, and it has Text Tool now, if you interested in comics or any of that.
@someonesane aaah the text tool isn't a bother to me becaus ei use a wacom bamboo pen and touch (i think "pro) so it has handwriting input so it inserts and whateveer but i might do it thanks for info. i subscribed
There's only one tool displayed in the video and that is the Sticker Spray Tool. The different effects are all created and defined by the user, via the Variations Panel or Sticker Sheet used. In terms of default tools and features, ArtRage Studio/Pro has far more to offer then what's shown here.
It still requires an artistic frame of mind to achieve a desirable outcome. The child in your example would be limited to creating things that he/she has stickers for already. Ask the 12yo to draw a three eyed, long toothed, triple spliced tongue flying dragon to breath the fire on the grass and the child would be stuck, as the resources wouldn't be there to do it.
@the12221 The tools don't make the artist, you know. Having all those option while only being able to draw stick figures won't transform you into a great artist.
Easy enough. One just opens the sticker folder and puts the sticker file in it. If there are presets for it as well, they are put in the Sticker presets folder. Both folders can be opened directly from the Tools > User Content menu.
Hi nobody671a. I actually made all of the stickers you see in this video. Currently I don't have them available for download, but I do plan on releasing them in some manner. When I do, I'll likely announce the release at the ArtRage forums. I do have some extra presets for the Gold Coin sticker posted there already in fact.
The Sticker Spray Tool comes with ArtRage Studio and AR Studio Pro and doesn't needed to be downloaded separately. However, the Sticker Creator is only available in Pro. If you're inquiring on to how get the specific sticker sheets and spray presets seen in the video, please note that some of them are included with the program, while many have not yet been made available. I created the stickers and presets seen in this video and I'm looking into to ways to bundle and release them at some point.
It does look great, but to me, it looks more like corel's painter, and less like what artrage was unique for...from a natural tool for painters it transforms to an industrial tool for "graphic designers" or whatever you call them, a tool used for graphic work other than drawing, maybe in the future they will add photo editing...;)
It's just one tool of many, even though what can be done with it seems endless. It's not as though they took out their other tools (Oil Brush, Crayons, Chalk, etc) and they have even added other traditional artist tools (Watercolors, Ink Pen). They're definitely not trying to be another Photoshop. They're just catering to certain users wants and needs (who didn't want a selection tool)? If a good majority of users didn't ask for the additions, I doubt they would've been implemented.
Fabulous program. I had 2.5 but have just taken up the offer to buy version 3 at the reduced price .... Wow! I'm looking forwards to the next few weeks as I play with all the new tools.
Presets and Stickers Sheets are two separate things really. Presets are as easy to throw together as changing the settings of any tool. Sticker creation can be easy of difficult, fast or time consuming. It all depends on what the user is trying to create. Simple bitmap brushes like Photoshop uses is fairly fast. Not as fast as PS perhaps, but then... they do a lot more then being simple bitmap brush tips.
Wow! This looks fantastic! What fun! You have to have fun once in a while, not just all work all the time. I can't wait to try it. I've really enjoyed all the previous versions of Artrage, such a quality product; but this evolution is flat exciting. Thanks for the preview.
simplicity is a virtue, not a weakness. I do think this is as professional as photoshop. You can adjust variables, you can make our own stickers. Its easier and more effective than photoshop. There,I said it.
Looks brilliant! I think professional artists will definitely find uses for it and create their own sets to use and speed up their work - which is what the intention is I'm sure.
You judging the book for it's cover. It's a name for a tool, nothing more. Just because it's called "Sticker Spray" doesn't limit people to using it that way, which is the point of this video. I think it clearly shows that it can be used for far more then the name implies...
You make it sound like it's being used already. You do know that AR3 hasn't been released yet, right? Anyway... I can't speak for them really, but there are at least two or three "pros" who have used and made sticker sheets and sprays of their own. Just go to the AR forums and look through the thread set up for the beta users to display what they've done with it. It seems pretty silly to me to "hate" something based on it's name alone.
I for one am really looking forward to using the sticker tool. And I make a living out of painting and drawing. To me it looks like Artrage 3's sticker tool will fill out the gap that both painters bucket tool and photoshop custom brush function has suffered from.
wow. My sticker tool doesn't do all that?

looks like painting isnt skills anymore :(
the12221 2 years ago
Why do you say that?
someonesane 2 years ago
@someonesane
i say that painting isnt skills anymore becuse with this "tools" you can creat awesome stuff without having any kind of talent at all!
Imagen a kid maybe 12 years old he can create awesome grass and put some fire on top of it and say that he made it himself.
that is not skills
