Good hunt, but you need to work on your video, need to zoom in so we can see the game and also it would help to ajust your pod so you can be able to move the camera with out shaking it. it is hard to film your self I know hope this tips can help your next hunt..

@Archeryman4 - that's the best thing you can do is ask questions because the DNR will not advertise it.
During those hunts you can use high power rifle and spot light deer. If you are a hunter that obeys the rules that hunts during the regular season, you will find it is much more difficult to spot light deer than the way it looks.lol
yes it is a special tag that is given to the land owner from your state DNR or Dept. of Wildlife. The DNR says how many tags and hunters you are allowed to for the property. Each hunter must register with the DNR and be put on the special tag / deer damage license for that property. On the land I was hunting on in this video, there were 8 deer tags and 5 hunters and no preference to what sex the deer taken had to be. So you could shoot 8 bucks if you wanted.

My friend, I expressed this in the video. It was a deer damage hunt, this does not occur during regular hunting season and regular hunting season regulation does not apply. Call your local wildlife station or conservation officer and find out if they have the service in your area. It would be worth your time. There are a lot of private land owner/ farmer that do not like deer on their property.

man thats crazy good camera work. up in a tree too! wow ...and still got the shot off exactly how u wanted it. nice. I just got back from huntin on San Carlos Apache Tribe area in Arizona. They have some real nice Cous Whitetail up there.
@iAREanthonyyy most deer naturally do not have issues. Those that do usually are not able to escape danger or live in the elements so they die by the circle of life, be it by coyotes or other predators. You can be sure the harvest is table fair by calling the DNR and have a portion tested. The DNR likes to keep tabs on these things and for major outbreaks of CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease).

That is good if you can pass on bucks in your hunting area, cherish it. As I said in the video this was a control hunt to reduce the population, so size is kinda on the back burner.

My friend, I expressed this in the video. It was a deer damage hunt, this does not occur during regular hunting season and regular hunting season regulation does not apply. Call your local wildlife station or conservation officer and find out if they have the service in your area. It would be worth your time. There are a lot of private land owner/ farmer that do not like deer on their property.

@CraneCamsRacing when you get in the stand you dont need your orange on dumbass. im 14 and know that. you only need it if your walking though the woods. it would be smart to take it off in the stand so it dont break up your camo pattern, dont you think? and id know cause i have rattled a ten point directly underneath my climbin stand....so think before you talk...i got your back dave, keep doin your thing

You know it's sad that people say a lot of bad things about hunters, I personally have never hunted in my life, but you sir seem like one of the most nicest hunter/african american males ive had the pleasure of meeting, im skeptic on hunting, i mean i feel bad for the deer cause they didnt do anything to me, but they get hit by cars a lot, so i mean idk im afraid if i try it even once, ill have bad kharma for myself, respectable responses on this would be nice no tom foolery please

thats def not a 90 inch buck. its only got a 10 inch spread and it doesn't have any mass i would bet it only scores maybe 70 before the deductions are calculated in.

how can you tell if a deer is safe to eat after you shoot it?

@iAREanthonyyy most deer naturally do not have issues. Those that do usually are not able to escape danger or live in the elements so they die by the circle of life, be it by coyotes or other predators. You can be sure the harvest is table fair by calling the DNR and have a portion tested. The DNR likes to keep tabs on these things and for major outbreaks of CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease).

That is good if you can pass on bucks in your hunting area, cherish it. As I said in the video this was a control hunt to reduce the population, so size is kinda on the back burner.
