A good "nutshell" of how Pledge Music works. I heard Benji Rogers speak at Apra-Amcos last night and explain the approach.
It is a neat model that gives a 3-way win for fans, the band, and for charities. Most importantly the driving purpose is to get the music happening, with the internet business aspect coming second. It frees bands from debt laden deals with labels.
The key to a successful project is being willing and able to network creatively with your fan base using social media networks.
