@StoicKitty I think my Dad had that album. It Was great. I liked Ritter's version on that album better than the one here, though this one's good too. It had some marvelous songs, and his deep, rolling baritone was perfect for them
I remember my grandpa singing this song to me when I was only five or so (I'm sixty now). He told me the story of the boll weevil and the farmers. There is a monument of the boll weevil located in the middle of Enterprise, Alabama. I finally saw that monument a few years ago. Amazing the destruction to crops and hearts that little bug did.
I saw this in my class today and we all laughed. It was funny but we liked it. X)
