I LOVE MAsonna! This guy is one of my biggest early inspirations in making noise( I do The Earwigs - 20 years of noise this August 2010!!! ) . Great video! Oh yeah, anyone can 'make nise' but if you're hearts not into why bother! Noise is awesome because there are no 'rules' like music! I piss on music so i don't care! Long live Masonna!!!
youd be surprised at how hard it is to do what masonna does. you say its just noise as if thats a bad thing. in my opinion noise musicians are some of the only real musicians left. pretty much any other genre is profitable in somekind of way, but in noise theres virtually no chance of making a living from it unless you water it down in a way that makes it socially acceptable. these artists do it because they love it. everything else is just a product waiting to be bought.
Is this a joke? This was not enjoyable to listen to, and is definately not genius. This is not music, it is just noise. It can be art, but not very good art (at least in my opinion.) Genius is John Coltrane, Miles Davis, or Pink Floyd. Not "ARRRGHHHGHGHGH" because ANYONE can do that.
I guess you could call it difference of opinion, but most noise artists themselves don't even call it noise music, but just noise, usually music is only tagged on when talking to someone unfamiliar with the genre.
I like his showmanship. Many other noise performances consist of guys messing with synths or sitting behind a laptop, so it's enjoyable to see somebody being so energetic with his music.
Masonna has been around since '87! One of the pioneers which defined the Osaka noise scene. Stop name dropping and do a bit more research before you start generalizing between every noise act coming out of Japan!

it's not just you. :)
noise is the opposite of music, and that means aggression, depression, and above all, reality. you cannot avoid hurting if you truly understand noise :D
who said i don't like this stuff. i have 9 noise/experimental albums, and i have cooperated on some compilations. check it on google, it's called erekta. masonna was a great inspiration for me.
and i still see noise as antimusic. but i am a great fan of it, as i am of music. balance is needed.. i am disappointed in the fact that so many people did not understand my comment.
Oh calm down, no need to be like that. I see what you mean, but it's your own personal interpretation of a definition. I have my own definition, and if you can't cope with a simple difference in opinion then you fuck off
1:20 Dude just walked offstage with his noise still playing. He awesome.

i can cope with a simple difference in opinion as long as it doesn't involve reckless ruin of life. mostly animals. ..it's a misunderstanding then.
