@spectralnoise, I don´t know if you have allready tasted it, but if you enjoy this sweet liqueurs, you should definitely try some Ginjinha from Alcobaça or Óbidos. And if you drink it and then eat a square of a good chocolate... it is to die for. ;)
Hello. I hope you like this video. I'm not sure why I haven't done more. Anyway, I deeply apologize to the wonderful musicians that I borrowed this music from. I wish that I had their information so that I could credit them. (If anyone would translate this comment to Portuguese for me I would really appreciate it).

Hi, I loved Portugal. My wife and I did go to hear some Fado. I even tried to buy a guitar but could not find a place to get one. We could not understand the words, but we could feel the passion.
The country is beautiful and has a fascinating and proud history.
Now that I'm almost out, where will I be able to get some Beirao in the US?
lol never been to the US so i cant help you, but i dont know...if you live nearby NY it's my belive that you can find there almost everything, even Beirao :p
tks for the video, Lisboa is really a beautiful, if you are thinking of returning try to go to my city (Porto) with is very beautiful, and visit Sintra nearby Lisboa too!
there are big portuguese communities in New Jersey, Boston and Southern California. maybe you can get it if you go to a portuguese shop. i dont know for sure.
@spectralnoise If you want Licor Beirão i belive u should try some places where the Portuguese live... i do believe there are some near Boston... iam not american ;)
i can only say that Moscatel de Setúbal is much better than licor beirão, try the Moscatel de Setúbal Roxo (Purple) but we have a saying: "Gostos não se discutem" "Don't argue tastes"
Perhaps thats one of the reasons why there is so many types of wines in my country XD hehehe
For me the Tinto's from Alentejo are THE MUST & BEST
@STICKlaPISSSE "Don't argue tastes", ha ha yes, that's another reason to love Portugal. I agree re: tinto from Alentejo, they are great wines and stand up to the best Spanish rioja (a big trend in the US right now).
Anyway, I was at a bar a few days ago where they had a cocktail made with Beirão! They were out of it though. So I know that t is possible to get in Chicago.
@spectralnoise@spectralnoise Glad to hear that you liked. I know that are some stores in NYC and DC that sells this stuffs. I Love Licor Beirão, portuguese beer, you probably say corona its better...sorry it isnt, n i am not saying its the spanish. Sagres, SuperBock, OPorto´s wine. THE BEST! Greetings from my beloved country!
I lived in Alfama for one year and it's so great to see those alleys I used to walk every day! Somehow I thought that I have time to take pictures of them, but somehow it all became so normal and usual that didn't bother. Now when I'm not there, I'm missing the atmosphere, and this video brings back all the memories. Thank you!
Just love it! It's like being there again. Spent a year and a half in Lisbon and walking through Alfama was my favorite.. you never know what you may discover! Thanks for the Video!
The images are not synched with the music because it would destroy the motion-like effect. The viewer would no longer be traveling though the maze with the camera.
To get this effect more, um, effectively I should have shot more images and displayed them at 6/second instead of 3/second. Too bad I cannot go back to Lisbon any time soon.
I liked the concept very much. In Alfama i feel like it is stock in time and the still images enphathyze that.
It could have greater impact if the images were syncd with the rythm of the music and stoped when the first music was over. But i gave it 4 stars 'couse it's so nice to watch!
A lot more people than I thought are enjoying(?) this vid. However, no one is commenting! Please let me know what you think or any questions you may have.
