i cant thank enough for what buddhism bring to my life and change my entire life...i feel very peaceful,but i also really want to help other people in my family,friends to feel the same and put down all unnesscessary pain in life and to be peaceful too,but i dont know how and find it hard to do it coz most of them just so attch to the current of life so that they dont even listen to me and let me share it with them :(
@angelpeace86 if you look to Ajahn Brahms teachings, you will find he tells a story of when growing up in England that he never preached to his peers or tried to push Buddhism. He discusses that people will development resentment if anyone tries to tell them 'what the answer is'.
Perhaps the best method is live by example? If your family and friends see how your life has become so much more positive perhaps they will investigate it for themselves? My family and friends sure did =)

This is a beautiful message from Ajahn Brahm. Personally I found it very insightful and inspiring. A great sense of peace can be achieved when one comes to a realization that emotions play a great deal on how one lives their life. Emotions can control what we say and what we do. Being in control of our emotions we can therefore do and say what makes our lives peaceful.

Pretty tough what to make of all the effort and work that goes into this. It has lots of good parts I can take and say it is good. I can pick a few good points and it is enough to say take a look at the whole thing.
Dharma, Why are we so blind as to see that the human condition must be treated with compassion and kindness. Fear, anger, selfishness and attachment will not allow us to evolve as beings.
Ajahn Brahm is British... so he sometimes, not always, but sometimes travels to UK. Also, if you have group of Buddhist who would like to invite him to Europe, you can do that. In Canada for example, a Sri Lankan Buddhist group sponsored him to come to Canada. They arranged from travel documents to place to stay in Canada.
So, if you have a large Buddhist community in Europe, you can invite him and Aj Brahm will be more than happy to come and pay a visit.

Buddhism is not infallible. You are right. It is adaptable however. Until you experience something you can't say for certain you believe in it. It is one of the few religions that allows you to question your teachings and come to your own solutions. Nobody is persecuted, nobody is beyond help.
You are welcome to your own thoughts, as am I. Whatever you believe is welcome - I would just ask that you have compassion and respect for others beliefs. That, my friend, is just courtesy.

Unfortunately buddhism doesn't take into account that sometimes when you let go of control of the emotions violent things can happen in a state of total peace.
Overall I love the ideas of buddhism, I'll never believe in it 100%....
This letting go of control doesn't mean giving into emotions either. Letting go is letting them pass without them affecting you. If you do violent things with your emotions, then you're giving into it.
In Buddist countries like Sri Lanka and Thailand thousnads and thousands boys as young as 5 are ordained to be monks in order to serve as sex slaves for the stinky old senior monks!

People forget that with changing emotion's, and the experiences of the constant battle between between the positive and negative, in the long run, the all have their effect on your psyche. I've been to Ajahn Brahm's talks in Singapore and he always preaches that religion is about peace, regardless.
So if you find a good teaching, follow it! Why not!
As a buddhist, i refuse to join in the flame war because buddhism is about peace.
